  • [Question] Question about obtaining fastpasses

Hi all, I had a question that I was hoping someone could help me with. I know that in order to obtain a fastpass for each member of my party they must all have their park entry tickets scanned at the gate making them "active". My question is since Disney only counts "first click" at the entry gates, can we all enter at Disneyland then one member of my party go over to California Adventure to get fastpasses while the rest of us stay inside Disneyland? Thanks in advance for the help.

    Re: Question about obtaining fastpasses

I don't think that will work. Your ticket has to be activated for the park you are getting fastpasses from. I saw this one morning at DCA getting fastpasses for RSR. Some guy was arguing with the CM because his family was in Disneyland (not DCA) and so their tickets wouldn't work in the fastpass machines. He was arguing that since they were in the resort it should count, but the machines wouldn't accept them.
