  • Bringing Back Attraction Posters

As I was taking that long boring tram ride in from the parking structure it hit me...... "This would be a great place to post attraction posters for both Disneyland and DCA of course.
What better way to build up the anticipation for the kids and
help advertise some of the less popular rides or hit the nostalgia button with the older crowd.

I made a little mock up of what it might look like.
    What do you guys think?

    wow! impressive!!

i think that's a good idea. very bland scenery on the way to the happiest place on earth as it is now. maybe they want us to sit without anything to look at so we are forced to listen to the rules and announcements, though?

      Re: Bringing Back Attraction Posters

I prefer the attraction posters being in the Outer Lobby instead of inside Disneyland, so this idea works for me.

I have a feeling that the marketing department would eventually co-opt these poster frames, though, and use them to try to sell D.C.A. So, W.D.I. would have to try to prevent such a thing from occurring.

Attraction posters would provide an inexpensive and appropriate show for tram passengers, and some kind of show is definitely needed. So, I'd be happy if attraction posters lining the route becomes a reality.

Yes. Very nice. Esp. the motion blur on the first poster.
BTW. the idea is very good as well! Don't know why TDA shouldn't do it..

Wow, I thought that was a real picture, well, I guess no one really shows the posters anymore, not SFMM or KBF, it's kinda wierd how the parks don't seem to care for a lot of the old traditions.

The only place they show them is in the tunnels and that's not even all of them, I personally liked it when they used to be out in the open at the entrance right in front of the floral Mickey.

I love this idea......... they do it at universal on the tram tour.. with all the OLD movies.. they should do it at disneyland

I think you should submit your idea to Bob igar or someone like that

                      great idea

Great Idea. Inexpensive, and definately better than bushes, fences and streets, and worse, traffic in the streets (though that is very rare on that street) Now why aren't you an Imagineer.

Wow, very impressive. I think this is a great idea. I'd like to see some cool attraction posters made for DCA's good rides, like Tower, Soarin', Screamin', Maliboomer, GRR, Monsters, Animation. The tram route would be a perfect opportunity for these posters... It would just have to be a rule that they didnt get swapped out over time for the next direct-to-video sequel, or advertisements for other stuff. Just attraction posters... and they'd have to be timeless - they couldnt say "All-New Ride!" or anything like that (see: Monsters Inc ad campaign)

That would be aweosm having that sort of stylized art with some of DCA's bigger rides and of course the classic DL ones.

                              Good morning, son
                              In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                              It was pain
                              Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
