  • [Idea] Captain America ride

With the success of Captain America:The Winter Soldier at the box office, do you think that Disneyland should build a ride based off of the movie. Possibly in Tomorrowland? My idea is if they build a simulator type ride like Star Tours and have different scenarios played out like what they are planning for an Iron Man ride in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Iron Man is the only Marvel hero that thematically could fit in Tomorrowland in a solo capacity, but the other heroes showing up in an Iron Man-centric ride wouldn't be bad.

Iron Man may be the only Avenger that could fit, but there are a TON of Marvel heroes that would definitely fit the theme.

Yeah, I should have clarified that I meant MCU Marvel. Although now I am imagining an Avengers A.I. ride and it is tremendous.

They're building an Iron Man simulator ride in Hong Kong Disneyland already. But I too would rather see an Avengers ride instead because it'll involve several Marvel characters. I do have a feeling that some sort of Marvel attraction will take the place of Innoventions someday. Yet I'd still love to see Disneyland do a revival Captain America's World World 2 USO show for the Fourth of July.

While I liked the movie I'd have no interest in using it as the basis for a ride. But I'd like to see a Captain America attraction in Hollywood Land set in the 40's and featuring an untold story from WWII. It would be a good way of bringing a popular character to DCA and more of the vintage feel to Hollywood Land at the same time.

You know…the Mickey in us.

                      Re: Captain America ride

It makes more sense from a business standpoint to do an Avengers ride, instead of focusing only on one Avenger. Good way to compete with Harry Potter over at Universal, too. The first Avengers film is the third highest grossing film of all time; next year's sequel will probably do $1.5 billion - $2 billion. It's not a "fad" franchise and it would bring in a lot of people.

Marvel has films mapped out all the way up to 2028, so the Marvel Cinematic Universe films aren't going anywhere - only makes sense to bring them into the parks.

I'm going to go ahead and ask, does anyone think The Good Dinosaur will get a ride? I'm sure it'll be a hit, I heard a CM say that Disney is looking to build something.

Agreed, I think they should wait on a third Gate for Marvel or only put Iron Man into Tomorrowland as he's really the only one that fits.

Captain America himself thought so too when I suggested it to him over at Innoventions.
