OMG!! It looks absolutely stunning!!! It is like a completely different ride!! So funny how much the lighting can affect the mood. Now you actually feel as if you were submerged underwater. I love all of the miscellaneous new fish throughout the attraction. They're a fun, cute addition that add to it. The only issue now is the ending! Give Ursula a proper ending and reduce the wedding scene. Possibly make it a bit better in terms of how grand it is. Also give Triton plastic looking hair. Hopefully it can be done before the 60th!
The lighting looks better I guess? Unfortunately the attraction is still innately flawed. Absolutely marred by poor design, poor stagecraft and a general misunderstanding of what makes theme park attractions enjoyable. I find it sad.
Really happy with the changes they made. The Under the Sea changes were really well done, and adding extra fish to flesh out some of the bare stretches works well. Can't wait to see how they choose to approach the new ending.
The lighting in "Under the Sea" is indeed better. But has anyone noticed that all the new fish they add to the scenes are just stuck-on statues that don't move or do anything? To me that seems kinda awkward. Especially in the beginning part where the fish are looking down on you while you're looking up at the projection of Ariel. I never had a problem with the lack of fish. If anything I had a problem with the lack of moving fish. It's most distracting in the Under the Sea segment when all the fish are supposed to be dancing and you can see some that clearly aren't.
I'm so glad they added Atlantica to that screen before Under the Sea. It was always really awkward to go down that stretch after Part of your World to see a big screen with moving lights. Can't wait to go back!
The music celebration puts some motion into my ocean! sigpic
