Cool...my daughter will love the good news! Been asking me every time we go (including last night) about Splash!Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,it's what they are like in their HEART!

There are now 6 seats, and the back seat can be used for larger sized person, those who need special assistance, or by a parent and a child..
So you have a larger hourly capacity, which is a good thing with Splash....Check out my Theme Park Photos at http://darkbeer.smugmug.com

Some of the logs are the new configuration. I'm not sure if all of them are. Everything is nicely painted, especially the briar patch and the flourescent stuff. The sound has been much improved and most of the audioanimatronics look much better, though some could still use work (why doesn't the beehive spin on Brer Bear's nose?). The professor owl at the end is working again.
From my experience, I think you also get much wetter.
Today is a bit cool, but by 10am the line was 80mins long ... wonder how long it will be when it starts raining.

As for getting wetter... I'd like to know everyone's opinion on this. Personally, I love the ride, but I don't like getting wet on days where the temperature is less than 80 degrees, so I don't ride Splash as often as I'd like to ( I HATE being cold... personal issue, I know). :monkey:
I'm wondering, what is everyone else's "soak tolerance" temperature. Do people really like to ride this one when it's cold?"I could never convince the financiers that Disneyland was feasible because dreams offer too little collateral"

I will be riding Splash more than once, and you will get photos, and of course, so will other folks....
Just be patient.. and don't forget, it is peak Easter Break, so it will be harder to get those photos...
Heck, I have over 500 photos from last night preview of Deep, Deep Trouble at SeaWorld on my site, and that was less than 24 hour turnaround....Check out my Theme Park Photos at http://darkbeer.smugmug.com

it says above that the owl is working again...does that mean that the little picture screen works as well????Went to a party the other night
All the ladies were treating me right
Moving my feet to the disco beat
How in the world could I keep my seat
All of a sudden I began to change
I was on the dance floor acting strange
Flapping my arms I began to cluck
Look at me..I'm the disco duck
"Do the Disco Duck!!!"

Glad they spruced up the sound and paint. can someone call WDW and tell them to paint inside their Splash Mt?WALT'S DISNEYLAND DEDICATION SPEECH! - To all who come to this happy place, welcome! I'm just glad that owl's working again
now we have something the other Splash Mountains don't have
except Tokyo's Splash has an Owl in the que >_>
we should get an owl in the que and a frog on the first lift just like WDW/Tokyo"We all have sparks, imagination! it's how our minds... create creations!"

Totally! It was all dirty and gross. And, actually, when I saw it, I think that Prof. Owl's beak was moving, but the sound was off. Maybe that was hallucinating/wishful thinking?"Somebody need me too much; somebody know me too well. Somebody pull me up short, and put me through hell, and give me support for being alive. Make me alive. Make me alive! Make me confused; mock me with praise. Let me be used. Vary my days. But alone is alone, not alive. Somebody crowd me with love, somebody force me to care. Somebody let me come through, I'll always be there as frightened as you, to help us survive being alive."

That "Fatty" seat in the back is laugh. I wish they'd go back to the original configuration of three compartments that most often sat 2-2-3 or 3-2-3. The solution to the problem was just to require a minimum of 2 riders per compartment and not allow peopel to sit alone.
