  • [Pictures] 9 Years of Disney Memories

It has been almost nine years for me since I entered Disneyland, for the very first time. My first day entering the park, was on July 16, 2005. That was one day before Disneyland was about to celebrate it's 50th birthday. I have had exactly nine separate Disneyland vacations, including that very first one. My most recent one, was just this past May.

I love going to Disneyland, and I love taking pictures. Over these many years, I have done trip reports, and other various threads showing my pictures, and featuring my photo collages. I thought it might be fun to combine all those collages, with a few new ones, and do a collage thread.

So here it is. Be prepared. This Disneyland fan is jumping the gun, by a few days, to show you:

Each of these collages has a title. They are not in any particular order , except by title. Almost all of these photos were taken by me. I have used various different collage programs over the years, to feature my favorite photos. I have made a lot of memories. I hope to make many more. Especially since Disneyland is about to enter into it's 59th year. Hopefully my next trip can coincide with a big 60th Birthday Party.

    Now on to the Collages:

Forgive me for neglecting to properly label some of these collages. The filenames are in alphabetical order, despite the absence of them, on the actual collage.

I started out vacationing at Disneyland with friends, and family, and over the years, things changed. My grandson was just 13 years old when he first visited the parks, and that was back in 2006. He missed the special 2005 trip when he had to spend the Summer in Summer School. I have been in all four seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall, and I love them all. I have seen the old DCA, and I love the new stuff.

When Disneyland turned 50, I was already 57 years old. So to be a kid at Disneyland didn't happen for me, except perhaps in my heart.

I travel solo a lot, because that's a whole lot better than not going at all.

                      Great collages Barbaraann!
I had gone to DL twice in the mid 60's as a kid (Dad drove us all down to the park in our brand new '65 Mustang!) and then I took my new wife there for just an evening (crazy huh?) after we got married 1988.
After that we didn't get ot the park until our son was old enough in 2003. After that we went on a yearly basis (at least) until a couple of years ago.
I'm afraid that at this point we have lost some of the Disney magic and frankly I'm not sure when we'll ever get back. It all depends on how Disney proceeds in the future.
I'm glad you get so much joy out of the parks. As I've said before, some of us live vicariously through your travels!

                      Cheers,
                      Scott

                        Really cool pics!!!

Brings me back to my most enjoyable times at DL.

The pic of you (right below the Billy Hill one) is exactly how I remember you.
