  • [Idea] Lester's Possum Park

Take Country Bear Jamboree, put it in Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, but retheme the entire thing to Goofy Movie's scene at Lester's Possum Park. the unifying of characters, and bringing back an old classic would surely be a hit among the 90's kids.

While this is a fond memory of a movie I loved as a kid... I simply don't see this as a place I'd want to visit, wasn't exactly a good place in the movie... Not to mention I can't imagine most kids know or remember that movie or scene today...

I like rundown roadside attractions more than most, believe me - the real life equivalents of the Gravity Falls Mystery Shack, with dusty faked 'cryptids' and supposedly historical old junk and the like.

But the whole point of the Possum Park in Goofy's movie was how broken it was - head falls off the one figure, the robots sparking and such, soundtrack not in synch. Disney not willingly going to recreate that level of disrepair willingly in an AA show, as it was intended as a joke in the first place, sadly later echoed by things like the Splash Mountain AA's in the finale just being turned off and idly twitching back and forth with the motion of the boat - it's not Disney theme park expected quality.

I loved that scene in the movie! It was so creepy and that weird little girl was so excited to watch the possums! Reminded me of Chuck E Cheese.

                  Re: Lester's Possum Park

Lester's Possom Park is one fun sounding idea! That would add some freshness to the Redwood Creek Cjallenge Trail. It's called a 'Challenge Trail" because it's deeply challenged for a cool theme.

If this is a rumor, all the better as any rumor is a good rumor when it comes to this blandly generic place that seems rather detached and squeezed between a cool DCA park and an awesome Disney Grand Californian hotel. One is only left to wonder why Disney doesn't switch the Grand Californian exclusive DCA entryway to the Challenge Trail, making hotel guests that want to exclusively enter the park have to travel through the Challenge Trail. Just sayin'....things really couldn'r get any worse.

The faster Lester's Possom Park becomes a reality the better!
