  • Trip Report Muppets Most Wanted AP screening at California Adventure: AWESOME!

This was such an awesome event today! Not only were we treated to free muppet pencils, drinks, and popcorn but the screening was introduced by Kermit and Miss Piggy who performed Together Again and Rainbow Connection.

It was so cool to see a movie in the Muppetvision theater as well. Great stuff all around.

Was this an invite thing? I try to pay pretty close attention and heard nothing about it.

I saw it advertised on the AP Twitter site, which also had a link to a Facebook page with more info. I don't think it was well advertised, as the Mrs., who is well informed, missed it completely.

Very sad!!! I could have been there, but no communication! How do I become better informed? I don't do Facebook or Twitter. I thought this site might help better.

I don't know why it wasn't better promoted, maybe it's intentional too keep the crowds from getting too large? The only place I saw it mentioned was a single post on the Disneyland AP Facebook page.

I love the Muppets; one of the few movies that anyone of any age can enjoy.

I also appreciate the review, you can be I'll be seeing it when it comes out.

Rainbow Connection is one of the cutest songs ever.

There's a new department called "Annual Pass Reinvention", and it's tasked with coming up with stuff like this only for AP's. But they purposely do things on days when only Deluxe or Premiums can get in, and then they very carefully put the word out but not too widely or too far in advance.

There are now one million Annual Passholders, and of that a few hundred thousand are at the Deluxe or Premium level. The MuppetVision theater seats 475 people. Do the math.

The end goal is to be able to raise AP prices much further while claiming legit extra benefits like Kermit and Miss Piggy serenading you prior to an exclusive screening of a new Muppets movie, all included in the cost of your AP.
