Close enought to hear the fireworks from my house, anyone there who can tell me if they are the old show, a intermidiate show (if its like the intermidiate parade, it's got to be a joke), or possibly a soft opening of the new show?

If it was a soft opening for the new show, the sound of shells exploding would have carried on for 17 minutes. The show you heard is the temporary show "Fantasy in the Sky." This will run for the 2 weeks of Spring break. The show is only something like 6 minutes and is said to be short and sweet. -
