    meetings in disneyland

so i was wondering what you guys had in terms of ideas for meetings in disneyland.

by meetings i mean like meet-ups with other like minded people at disneyland.

Kinda like the gay days and bats days but not so large.

so i want everyones ideas! Ill start with some obvious ones.

    singles meet-ups.
    couples meet-ups.
    married couples meet-ups.

If you walk around and around the Hub long enough, you're sure to meet nearly anyone.

If we organize a group meeting do we run afoul of Disneyland's new (but unwritten) policy about tours and groups? I would welcome the opportunity to meet some people from MiceChat, it should be fun!

No, I don't mean just wait and the world will pass you by. When crowds are large, it's hard to find people or get people together in just one place.

However, if you say meet at the Hub, you've concentrated them in one place, and there aren't any corners people can be around they way they could in other parts of the park. It's a small, but open area (and close to the bathrooms, in case someone needs a break). So if everyone goes there, you should be able to all get together in rather short order instead of wondering where certain people are, or worse yet, people wandering off to find them.

Is that more helpful as to what I meant?

Okay, how about Sunday July 17th? I will be there that Sunday. I really want to meet you all and that is the only Sunday on my trip. Will there be any additional meetings around that day or after since people might be on vacation from other parts of the country too? I <3 my MiceChatters.

How about running a poll to see who might be able to make it on any particular time or day of the week?

There is a regularly scheduled meet on Sundays at noon at the Hub. Most Sundays you can find Darkbeer and I there. There is usually at least a few of us padders there.

                              But that's a blackout day, too :0(

I'm still debating whether I want to pay for a ticket that day and brave the crowds!

My favorite time to meet up with ex cons is after closing in the native village of the JC. We'd bring lanterns and compare cuts and gashes from the razor wire fencing. When security came by we stood up with painted war paint on and froze with spears. one of the guards saw my calvins.. oops. Sometimes we'd tell spooky grad nite stories about sneaking in and getting run over by the monorail. Before dawn we'd number and race the Rats to River Belle's Compactor. What nights they were...ahhhh the 80s.

                                But that's just me.

Wow, I haven't heard anyone reference that awful story since I worked there. I always pretty much believed that story. But is it really true or does it belong frozen underground next to Walt with the other Urban Legends? Anyone have the real info on that little black mark in the Disneyland books??
