    Internet in the park?

    I was just curious...

    How many people here carry their own Internet connection with them into the park? A web enabled cell phone, Treo, or similiar device.

    I have a Pocket-PC mobile that goes just about everywhere with me. On my last trip to the park I used it to upload near realtime photos back to friends watching on the web.

    Any other creative uses for this technology while in the park?

    My Treo goes with me everywhere! Last time I used it extensively was when I first read Kevin Yee's Fastpass expose' and I wanted to get as many FPs as I could...(ended-up with dozens at once!)

    Nowadays, I just use it as a phone when my wife gets lost.

          Actually, last summer when we spent 10 days at WDW, I used my Treo all the time to help us with park hours, show schedules, etc. Great Sprint reception @ WDW...



          No so great here in LA, though...go figure...

          How is it possible that Osama bin Laden can make a cel phone call from 2 miles underground in a cave in Afghanistan and I get dropped driving on the 10fwy from LA to my house?

            Too bad there are no WiFi hot spots in the park. I'd use my iPaq all the time if there were...

                It's that invention al gore stole from Mickey before the election and said he inventened to get more votes.. when in fact ME invented it for disney to keep better tabs on their consumers and cometition... hehe
