Just what is there to do at the ESPN Zone? We've got some game cards with our package but my family isn't overly sports oriented. Anything there for us Mr. & Mrs. CouchPotatoes?

the games are on the second floor and you do not need to eat there to use your game cards ... they have two separate dining areas ... one is like a sports bar with a bunch of TVs on one wall (TVs at some booths and through out the room) with a few lazy boy chairs in the very front you can eat in/on (you cannot see them if you just look in the room b/c they are behind a short wall in front of the TV wall) and the other area is more of a typical restaurant with TVs above you ...
The games up stairs are all sport theme ... a lot of racing type games ... you can actually throwing a football through a ring and score a goal in hockey etc.
This place is like a church to my BF ... from my experience the service is either really really good or really really bad ... the food is OK ... the apple/ice cream dessert is the best ... I would rather go to the rainforest cafe

And watch out on Raiders, Lakers or any other LA team game night(s) ... people get crazy and it is very very packed ... try going when there is not a major game in the works ... It was funny b/c we got there one night after a raiders game and they had the post game report on the jumbo TV in the viewing room and right in the middle of it the restaurant turned it to the Olympics with the men's swimming events ... which up set a lot of people ... Needless to say I finally enjoyed myself watching the TV(s).

If you ask a CM, sometimes they film shows for ESPN or the local news show in the main dining area, I know this used to be a weekly thing, but I am not sure if it is done too regularly anymore- it mught be posted on the disneyland website under the resort calendar. If not, as a cm when you get there as the events there are published in the CM park guide weekly.Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

Yeah, the food isn't worth it, but if you have younger teenagers they will like the games upstairs.
ESPN does rarely tape shows there. They will use the ESPN Zones for a mini studio. The last time I was there ESPN was filming an interview with a baseball "expert" in the south side dining area.
