First Drove up Saturday Night the March 19th Easy drive all the way down. No Traffic jams smooth sailing.
Sunday the 20th- got in line about 20 minutes before opening. As they were opening the park Partridge Family actor Danny Bonneduece, (I hope I spelled that right) Welcomed the guests into the park for LOCAL Radio day it looked like, because of all the local stations Obviouslt so all the show hosts including Danny. I didn't realize he had a radio show. Thought I had a photo of him with My wife and I. And the damn battery timer shut down before taking the picture @#@$$%@#%. DOH!!!!
Oh well, It was an interesting moment. So immediately we went to ride Buzz, upon arriving it was not open yet. DOUBLE DOH!!!(Later we were able to ride we grabbed a Fastpass and jumped in the stand-by line, by the time we were out of our line we could go back with our Fastpass
So went to Indy, walked right on, Yes!!! It was running great and no problems what so ever. The snake looks great!!! We went on Haunted Mansion next, The elevator to the right. Which I had never been in always the left, I noticed some White paint on one of the Stretching paintings. I hope they aren't damaged.
Noticed the Lightning sychronized with the Pictures, the Knight by the hallway, and of course Madame Leota, these effects are well done!! I love it!! Seeing her float is a great effect and a excellent improvement.
Then Splash I did single rider. (My wife likes her stomach right where it is!!)
I got the big seat in the back two separate occasions.
The biggest thing I noticed about Splash is that the Lighting was ten times better on most of the characters, this always disappointed me in the past. Especially when Brer Bear is hanging over the water. The paint looks better on the Brer Patch of Thorns. The owl at the end Looked like his head was stuck to one side.
Pirates was closed most of the morning on Sunday. When we rode it on Sunday night I noticed after passing the jail area the Burning rafters had plastic up there? Is that for Leaky old roofs?
9:30 Fantasmic, Which really seemed to be out of sync. No Pinnochio, and the Dragon looked like he was having trouble retracting down.
Decided to head back to my room so I could be ready for the Next day.
Monday early had Breakfast with the Royalty at the Plaza Inn (I know kids stuff) (But there was a pin and The Buffet)The service I will tell you about later(THE MAGIC IS RETURNING)My wife snapped a photo of Mary Poppins and Bert with me. It was something I have wanted to do for along time. This was AWESOME.
Then we rode Buzz twice in row, Stand-by which I don't think that happens on new rides too often, I better shorten this up. Anyway, Pretty much rode everything in park at least a couple of time each. Nothing broke down. Took the Walk In Walt's Footsteps Tour, which was good and I learned some new things about the park and some info I already knew. Good Tour My Wife and I enjoyed this. 3.5 hours later.
after taking the Tour we went to the Blue Bayou for Dinner by the Water, We waited an unusually 10 minutes I could not believe it. My Genie-Jaw dropped on that one. Well while we were about to eat My wife was adding pepper to her food when the Lid came off.
Well the CM serving us replaced it no problem. Awesome!! Good Dinner topped off with a rich Piece of Fried Cheesecake YUMMMM
Anyway I would say, that things are really turning around at The magic Kingdom. This was a great trip. One for the scrapbooks!!
Had a Dole Whip at Tiki!! Love it!! Love the New Queue area!!!
the new sign above Frontierland and Tiki are good(Wienies) to entice people.
