  • Attendance For Easter

We are planning a trip to DLR this Sunday for Easter. Something we have never done before. Was wondering if anyone has been before and what kind of crowds should we expect? Also, do they do anything special for Easter?

    Thanks for any info.

There is an Alice Easter breakfast. It's $55 for adults. Don't know the children's price.
      Good morning, son
      In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
      It was pain
      Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Gosh, I know I worked on Easter one year, but I can't remember anything about it. Seems like there was some sort of Easter Egg thing, but i might be rong about that.

          Should be crowded though.

I'm not sure about the Easter activities, but we're in Spring Break territory now, so you can count on somewhat heavy crowds...

Thanks Tink and Reaver. I was hoping that with it being Easter most people would have other plans. But why should I figure We would be the the only ones thinking it would be a fun trip.

Exactly why we are waiting until the 2nd week of April to make our trip. Hoping to be past the spring breakers and before the summer/50th crowds start to gear up.

                  Good Luck!!
You can think I'm wrong, but that's no reason to quit thinking.

We went on Easter two years ago and the place was pretty deserted until 11:30 or so. It was great. We had lunch reservations at Blue Bayou and got great seats, so that was our "Easter meal" of the day. There were no special things happening in the park for Easter.....but on Arbor Day (the same week) the kids got stickers. Go figure.

But that year, Easter was the third week of April. This year, it's right in the middle of two major Spring Break weeks. Oregon's spring break ends on Sunday, Washington's begins this weekend and lasts through next week. Many Cali schools are split around it. I would think it would be pretty crowded.

Insane hotel prices not a good sign

Attendance may be through the roof this week and next. I check out hotel prices at Hotel.com and some hotels are quoting $300 a night plus rates. Many large hotels around the park are sold out. One 2 star hotel is quoting $1000 a night rooms. Usually, this is not a good sign.

I visited on Easter Sunday last year for my birthday. It was sort of crowded during the day, but most people decided to go home in the afternoon - maybe to enjoy Easter dinner. The crowds started to die at around 3 or 4 and it was pretty leisurely after that. I was pleasantly surprised.

Hope you have a good visit!

I went the weekend before Easter last year and both DL and DCA were deserted and that was during spring break. However, this year is closer to 5-5-05 so who knows, plus most everyone knows its the year of the 50th and might not be able to make it with their kids later this year. I've pretty much accepted the mid to later part of this year and most of next will be busy for the park. I don't mind so much since I go for the atmosphere more so than attractions. Besides, lines are nice to view the elaborate queues we might normally zoom by and not notice the extra touches. I live in Vegas and I'm debating driving down. I've not been since November and I've got an itch to go. I'm doin WDW in June for the first time so i'm anxious for that. Then I plan to go DL around 7-17 if not that day. I just want to take lots of pics this trip as to try out the new digi cam before FL.
