Adult Only Nights at DL

Hey I know this will evoke mixed reactions but I thought this was an intriguing idea a friend preposed to me; If Disneyland during the slower winter months offered "adult only- 21 and up events" at night where you had to be 21 to enter the park period- and they brought out mobile bars and served alcohol...Would you go?

Oh I forgot- they would have to open the same clubs and dance floors as they do for Gradnite so we could dance the night away.

This would be an additional way for Disney to make some money on the weekend- we all know we would pay more for a drink so there would be some hefty profits involved...which would pay for security. :lol:

I'd go....but as long as there was enough security there to keep the drunken bozos in line. I run into enough of those yahoos at normal bars.

lol- don't they do this sometimes with private parties? I know they had a Gay day event at DCA after it closed last year.

I love the idea, but I don't really think the park can run on capacity with just 21 years olds and up therefore not creating enough revenue to make a profit. Maybe run the park at half capacity or certain lands or even certain rides (like more of the adult orientated).

Otherwise, it's still whiskey in the plastic Coke bottle at Disneyland or the Cove Bar at DCA for me!

Thats certainly a viable suggestion but the person who suggested this was the type of person attracted to an event involving drinking, she would not goto the park under normal circumstances but said she had a great time at Grad Night 2001 and that she would go back someday if they served alcohol- so people who might otherwise not purchase tickets might on a night like this. Just a thought.

I normally get drunk outside the park 1st at the Uva bar or the Lost bar, then I have a great time at Disneyland.

My daughter wouldn't allow me to go to Disneyland without her, but does sound like it might be an interesting experiment....at least to see what would happen.

Not forgetting but this would be an event- something you planned on going to not just hoping into DCA having a quick drink and running back. This would be a giant party themed for adults.

To be honest I have my reservations cause I have been at the park after dark without ankle bitters running around and it lost some appeal.

yeah, I have never been a big fan of grad night and I have a feeling the park would be a little worse for the wear after being full of drunkies- it would prolly have to be restricted to one land where security could keep an eye on everyone.

It sounds like it would be fun, but then you'd have drunken bafoons attempting to sue Disney for accidents in the park. Not to mention if they were to get into a DUI accident after leaving the park. So many places to get alcohol, one bartender to the next wouldn't know how much you've had and keep serving you. I think sporting events helped to curb this by designating certain innings or quarters they stop serving so people can sober up before driving. I suppose the same could be done at the park by having last call well before 1:30..not that the park stays open that late..but I think you get the general idea. Too much of a liablity suit waiting to happen I think.

Drunks + rides = Lots of paramedics and law suits. It'll never happen. Not even mentioning all the extra custodial they'd need to clean up the vomit all over... I for one would avoid this like the plague. Without the alcohol, on the other hand...

I don't know, it just sounds to much like the premise of an "adult film"... Or some kind of weird singles get together...

Ah man..if it's ANYTHING like grad night, than no. Even adults..especially with alchohol can act like routy highschoolers...or worse.
