Well, we're here at the Resort, but didn't go ino the Park today. The parking garage looked to be pretty full and there were the usual crowds wandering around DTD and the esplanade. The Hotel is booked for the w/e, but they did say that rooms are available during the week, so hopefully things will quiet down a little for a few days.
Since about 4 pm, the rain has stopped and the skies have cleared. After dinner, the kids went to the pool and they are still there!
Well, we just got back from DL, and it was freaking cold enough to snow. We had dinner at Pizza Port, went on Matterhorn, the carrousel, and Haunted Mansion (it's back!) and then got the heck out of there. Brrrrr.
We all of FL and TL before 10am. Things started getting busy around 11, but still not bad. The downpour around 2-3ish prob chased off a lot of people. DCA was back to non discounted crowds. It would have been a perfect day if I5 hadn't closed at Castaic~we had to drive 126 to the 101 to the 166 and home. It added an extra 4 hours and a mess of miles. We just got home, and we left the parking structure at 9!!
I was there yesterday! It was actually pretty nice! It really didn't rain all that much. The worst I saw was a downpour around 3:30-ish that made a really pretty rainbow. The parks weren't dead, but they weren't Saturday-busy, either. I think IJA was 40 minutes all day, max. Around 11:30 am, Space was like 40 mintes (didn't see it later in the afternoon, so I couldn't tell ya if it got much worse). I've got a pic on my photo site linked below that's a panorama I took of New Orleans Square around 5pm... not many people there! We did all the major stuff in both parks by 4, and that was taking our time. We ended up leaving around 6pm 'cause it just got too chilly. It was pretty breezy all day, too, so we figured Remember would likely be cancelled - was anyone there last night that can confirm?
