I think we shouldnt keep it. Lots of people have talked about putting The Magic Carpets of Aladdin in that area but I dont think it has the capacity to fit all that. Personally, I think they should change it to the Magic Lamp Theater Show from Tokyo DisneySea. Basically, it is a great show with a 3D genie and from what I hear is very entertaining. I think it fits very well and would be a great addition to Adventureland. It would be fun to have a real Aladdin Attraction at Diseyland.

I concur with the ditch it idea. Here's a land dedicated to all the exotic locales around the world, and the best idea is to borrow off of a film? Even with as much as I enjoy Indy and it's great theming, it still bothers me that creativity is so limited in this land (with the exception of Tiki and JC). It's almost equal to watching Aladdin on DVD while exploring the middle east.

Keep it...but bring back a really unique and fun show. As much as I liked the TT show, the memory is better than the reality. As it was closing I recall it being not as good as your typical hawaiian luau and not that unique. For what it was, the AO show was Disney and fun. (Chocolate genie lamps and smoking magic lamps on each table) I'd vote to keep it if they improved the show and made it truly magical and something worth waiting for. I'd want to see it as a close up magic dinner show (Aladdin meets magic castle) or something cool like that."As usual he's taken over the coolest spot in the house"- Father re: Orville 1963

Please, no cheap clone of Dumbo! A show would be good and would fill the void left by the demise of the Country Bear Jambouree.
But....
It would be nicest to see a full service restaurant return to that area, whether it is the traditional Tahitian Terrace or the short-lived Aladdin themed one. I agree with Orville, what could work would be a good magic/dinner show that was heavily middle eastern themed (ANCIENT middle east, not modern) - belly dancers, magic genies and atmosphere galore. Yes, a chocolate genie lamp, yum!
The hardest thing about pulling off the middle east theme would be the food. My family isn't too wild about tahini and couscous. You would probably have to Americanize the foods but that has never seemed to be a problem with Disney.
Deep down in my heart though, I want to see the fire dancers, the hula girls, soak up some Tiki atmosphere and eat Disneyfied Hawaiian food.

Ditch it & bring back the Tahitian Terrace. It only makes the most sense (which is why it's unlikely it'll be done while Eisner's still around). My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club

I hope this isn't too redunant, but I, too long for the return of the Tahitian Terrace--on another thread I wrote "The Tahitian Terrace was one of my all time favorite things...the plastic lei's with the plumaria fragrance sprayed on them...the live music and dance...the wonderful taste of Kikoman...I would have liked to have seen a "fakey luau" return with Nani and David, Lilo, Myrtl and the the girls, and of course some commotion from Stitch, perhaps in the vein of the audio experiance in WDW (not so technical, just decent surround sound...). Perhaps if we bestow offerings to Pele and Tangaroa, TDA & Burbank will see the errors of thier ways and return her to her former glory, complete with a drink menu of fruity concoctions in fabulous souviener tiki mugs... Mighty Pele, hear our plea..."
and I'm sticking to it!

Yes bringing back TT would be cool, however I dont think kids or teens can relate to it now days. Aladdin and Jasmine they can (moveis, DVD's and plush and etc) I think you ge the picture. "Hey kids we are going to listen to Aladdin and Jasmine tell us a story today" or "Hey kids we are going to visit the Tahetian Terrace!" I know which one I would choose.

An updated version of the TT would be nice, as long as the food and show are super good. It IS next to the Tiki room for geez sakes. I always thought Aladdin's Oasis as out of place considering it's in the middle of Tiki & JC, but it is "adventure," I suppose.
BUT if they were going to go with the Aladdin theme, update the old show and have really awesome Disneyfied middle eastern food! With interactivity!!Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

God Bless you!! I agree-I never got to see the Tahitian Terrece, so I vouch for bringing that back or putting in something that doesn't have to do with a movie, but goes in the theme well like the Jungle Cruise or the Tiki Room.My mind won't rest
