Put me in the same group. My kids will be no where near the park for the anniversary weekend. My husband and kids will probably end up staying with my parents that weekend.

And T, I soooo hope you guys can make it down in June! You know the kids would love it too..

But how's this for insanity... My wife and I are going July 14-July18 without the kids (I don't even want to consider THAT trip with 5 :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: :monkey: !! When we told the kids our plans, they were totally bummed that they wouldn't get to the Park during the anniversary. We (due to guilt) decided that we would take all 5 kids(4 girls, 1 boy ), PLUS 1 friend each during the weekend of June 17-June19 .

I dont have any kids, and sometimes I take family or friends kids with me to disneyland, and to be honest, it's great, but they really hold you back. I enjoy it better with out them.

June 18th happens to be the 50 year anniversary of the first steam-up of the Disneyland Railroad. There is going to be a special event planned by "The Carolwood Pacific Historical Society" inside of the Park. Probably a re-dedication of the #2 Engine, The E. P. Ripley.
Anyways, we found that as teenagers, our kids have alot more fun in the Park when they are there with their friends. The funny thing is this; we turn the kids loose on the first day with one walkie-talkie per group, spending money, etc. and usually within 3 or 4 hours the kids are hanging around with us again. It's kinda cool . They seem to enjoy being with us when they know that they don't have to be. Go figure

I have two boys(Thank God)and I've taken 2 trips to DL without them, both long weekend trips and will take a third without in July. As much as I love my boys and our fun in the park it's fun to have a little "no kid fun" too. Now that we are working on year 3 of having an AP it's less guilt inducing to do so

As much as I love going to DLR with my kids, and enjoying it with them, My wife and I enjoy going without them. It seems to be a totally different experence when it is just the 2 of us or other adult friends. We try to make it a habbit of going once for us for every 1 ot 2 trips that we take the kids. Keeping in mind that we are AP holders and go once every 1 to 2 weeks.

Its so romantic without the kids!

Last year, I learned to go to DL withoutmy kids. The first few trips were difficult, then I started looking forward to the time away from them. Family obligations have kept me from non-kid trips to the park, minus a pre-MA walk through of the resort and MA itself.

I really miss Friday night meets.

I spend 100% of my time without my kids...I don't have any (couldn't resist!). I'm 23 and single (not even a girlfriend). I just go once a year with a couple of friends and we have a good time.

0%, I love to go with my daughter to DL, if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have ever experienced the Magic again!

I have no kids so I'm almost always childless at DL. I have taken seven -year-old twins (boys). It was neat to see DL through their eyes. BTW they loved it and are constantly asking when I'm going to take them again.

I have no kids (thank goodness), but I raised 2 of my nieces and nephews. I go with them when I can, but most of the time I prefer going with only people of my own age group and maturity level.

Most kids would give their right arm to have a sister that works at Disneyland and can get them in for free, pretty much any day they want! So, I like going with people who can stay for as long as I wanna be there!! (I know I am selfish! )
I'll be there Oct. 3,4 &5 from the opening minute until they have to throw me out kicking and screaming.
    Stop by and say Hi!

LOL ... my little cousin is the same way except I do not work at Disneyland ... last time it took almost 2 hrs. to get him off his video games and into the car for DL ... and what made it worse was he was playing Kingdom Hearts ... I kept trying to tell him he could see all these characters in person once we were at DL ... and I have to go through this nightmare again when I pick him up on Thursday.

My sons are 12, 13.......... We spend 100% of our time with them when we are on holidays.

They are 2 of the neatest guys you will ever come across....

.........when there is a ride where 2 people sit together and 2 people sit behind or in front........50% of the time I sit with one of my sons, the other of course with my Husband.
