  • Fastpasses Needed For Dole Whips?

I was in the park Sunday, it turned out to be warm, and I wanted to get Dole Whip floats for Kathleen and me.

I saw that there was a line creeping back toward Aladdin, but I figured...how long could it take?

    Well, about 30 minutes.

    For the Tiki Juice Bar.

    Is this normal?

BTW...the majority of CM's I've dealt with in three visits to the DLR this year have been extremely efficient and friendly in my dealings.

But, by the time I finally inched my way up near enough to see, it looked like the two ladies working there moving really slowly for that kind of line. And the whole Juice Bar setup has always had me questioning its efficiency.

Maybe they were shorthanded yesterday, I don't know. But a 20 to 30-minute wait for a Dole Whip? Even on a warm, busy day that doesn't seem right to me.

    Am I "out of line"?

out of line... ha! oh, what a riot.

    I wouldn't wait 30 min for a dole whip.

When things get busy do they close off the Enchanted Garden side? I could see people walking into there constantly and essentially cutting you.

Go inside to the waiting area to the Tiki room and order your whip from the other side. We've done this several times and it never fails. Since most people who read this thread already know about this I see no harm in telling you. Unless there's a huge wait for Tiki room (which is never) you'll be eating your whip in no time. Enjoy..

When did Dole Whips become so popular? I used to get them and there was never a wait. Now, I am shocked to see a line around the corner on a regular basis. Did someone write an article about them or something? Why so popular all of a sudden? Or have they always been and I just used to get lucky when there were only 5 people in line?

Wait until the summer heat hits and it will be a 60 min. wait

It's hard to believe that some of the managment at the park didn't want to repopen this location.

              The real answer........ MORE STAFF!!!

Blame the internet and MC for the popularity of the Dole Whip! LOL

When the word gets out, it gets out!

Yeah, "some" folks will go into the sitting area for the Tiki room and order from the backside. I'm sure that the dirty, mean, 'ol AP'ers will be to blame for that one too!

                  It's tough being popular!

I don't think I've ever had one, because the lines have always been too long.

Yeah, the last time I was in DL (November) the line was so long that we didn't want to wait, so we never got one. I never used to remember that big of a line. There always seemed to be a line, but not like now! We just chalk it up to the fact that there are so many more people in the park now than in years past

Thankfully the last time I went the line was short and it was staffed by three people! Wow.

Usually I have to wait 10-15 min for one, because there's only one CM working the booth. I feel sorry for them.

Not to mention the fact that the booth is under those cool Tiki torches. I'm drawn in like a moth!

They need to expand their booth and make as efficient as the one in WDW. More machines & more staff means less waiting for Dole Whips.

I have to get a Dole Whip everytime I go to Disneyland!
