  • Cove Bar

Hey guys! Need to know some things about the Cove Bar for some friends.

    1) How late are they open?
    2)What is the age limit?
3)Is there any food available from the actual bar, not the grotto?

    1. I believe they close at 8 or 9.
    2. No age limit, but those under 21 can't sit at the bar. Only the tables. And of course, no alcohol for the minors.
    3. Yes. But it's more like appetizer type food. Nachos, chicken wings, etc.

Love the Cove Bar for an appetizer and cocktail(s) with friends, especially at sunset. Then you have the lights of Paradise Pier all lit, as well as yourself!

Then I suggest a drop on ToT. It's F-U-N with a little buzz!

I had some drinks there a week ago when I was at Disneyland. We waited there for about 30 min for our table to open at Ariels. I noticed they have a few small dinners but mostly apps. They had a very nice dessert menu too. But I wouldnt expect to have dinner there to get full, the serving size looked small on the display they have by the Kitchen doors.

Ah, but do they have top-shelf alcohol? Yes, I'm a liquor snob - only Grey Goose vodka and Patron tequila for me thank you.
BTW - ToT with a buzz is definitely one of my favorites - Screamin is a close second.

Ariel's Grotto and the Cove Bar have a separate liquor license from the other "bars" in the park. So, you can't bring your Margarita, wine taste, or draft beer from the Pacific Wharf and Golden Vine onto the premesis. The difference is that AG/CB's liquor license has a provision for HARD LIQUOR.

okay, I may be opening the flood gates on this one... but I truly do need your help.
I'm going to be in the park this weekend and I plan on indulging a little bit (in the Cove Bar fashion).
Trouble is, I'm not a drinker. This will be my first time (I'm 32 yrs. old... please keep your laughter to a minimum) and I'm wondering what you all suggest I try.
Like I said, I'm new to this world and would like some suggestions.
                      Thanks

Well, if you dont ever drink I'd suggest something a little less potent. Maybe a beer, or ale, or a glass of wine. Starting off with a martini might not be a great idea.

BUT, when the time comes, and you might want a martini, make sure you ALWAYS ALWAYS drink the good stuff, whether its a vodka or gin martini, always call your likker of choice. I've never ever gotten sick from drinking the good stuff (knock wood).
