Anyone know of a shuttle or taxi from John Wayne Airport to Disneyland that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? My flight arrives at 8:35 on a Monday morning (June 26th), and I'm hoping to get to the park ASAP. Micechat folks are always so helpful with all your great tips, any suggestions for a traveling Texan? Thanks in advance.

Re: Shuttle from John Wayne Airport?
How much do you consider "An arm and a leg"?
Taxi is your best option. They're there, and they'll take you where you want to go. I don't know if a shuttle will take you to the park. Maybe to a bunch of hotels, many of which are not yours. That causes delays to you.
Also an option: a limosine service (not to be confused with an actual stretch limosine). They'll be there to take you where you want to go.
Last option: ask someone here to pick you up. This will likely have a lower success rate than the taxi or prearranged limosine service. But it will be a lot cheaper if successful.
Convenience costs money. It's a valued asset.

Disneyland should be the crown jewel in the Disney crown.

Re: Shuttle from John Wayne Airport?
I would never take a taxi from SNA to Disneyland again! Never! Never! EVER! I tell you this because we took a taxi to the airport of the DL Hotel and he ran out of gas in the middle of the freeway! Never again will I take a chance of that happening. Super Shuttle is a nice, fast, ride that gets you to your hotel and many of the drivers are courteous and friendly. I suggest them. The bus is a nice alternative (if you are leaving your hotel after 5:30 pm), although it is awfully pricey.

Re: Shuttle from John Wayne Airport?
A taxi is about $35 plus tip, ask for the Flat rate, great if there are a few folks in the group.
A single person, the Disneyland Express Bus service is a great deal, and even better with the discount coupon you can find at the website below (plus schedule info).

I've been on a Super Shuttle from SNA to DL more times than I would like to remember, but that story shall remain shuttered in the darkest corners of my mind. Think happy Disneyland thoughts, not unhappy airport thoughts... LOL

Re: Shuttle from John Wayne Airport?
Be sure you insist upon the flat rate up front. We had one honest taxi driver and one dishonest one...the dishonest one didn't want to honor the flat rate from SNA to GCH. We made him, but still, he was super grumpy. The taxi was a great deal for our family of five.
If it's just you, I'd take Super Shuttle. I've ridden with them from LAX a dozen times and have never had a bad experience. Sure...it's terrifying, but hey, it's super cheap, the vans are clean, and the service is consistently good!
Have a great trip!!
