  • Blue Bayou now not to open until July 1st

Came across this over at MP

    http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?t=56052

So, to the matter at hand. I called this morning (April 26) to get PS for Blue Bayou for June 26 and they told me that they had received email this morning telling them that BB would not re-open until July 1.

Not really. Remember, people that want to eat in the park will still eat in the park. Since Cafe Orleans is going full-service, this doesn't suprise me.

It is sad when the best restaurant open to the public is closed for so long.

          Granville's is closed!?

(apologies if you're talking about Napa Rose, as I haven't been since the GCH opened.)

Sorry, but I don't want to upset people's stomach's, so I won't say what was "served" with one of our meals there some time back.

Let's just say that we haven't been back since then...

AHH... and I had heard it was opening three weeks early instead. I shall have to have a word with my managers.

I called them the same day, 4/26 to find out when I could make priority reservations for the Blue Bayou and they told me that it will be open June 27th, but only for walk-ups. Then they will start accepting Priority Reservations the following week. She said they needed a week to work out all the "kinks" before they would accept reservations. She also said the same was true for Cafe Orleans. But who knows, maybe the email about the opening came after I spoke to them.

Somebody over at MousePlanet called this morning, and was told that the Blue Bayou will open the week of June 26th (not sure which day it will open), and then accept walk-ups only during the (re) training phase. Priority Seating reservations will start on July 1st.

OK, I just saw in an eBay auction, of all things, that they're re-theming the Blue Bayou. "the new revamped Baoyou has a voodoo backwater theme to set it with the new 'Darker' Pirates of the Carbbean attraction." Has anyone else heard about this?

No one would happen to have a menu of the 'new' Blue Bayou, would they?
