  • Tomorowland: what would you put on the stage?

So with them removing the club buzz stuff I was wondering what would YOU put on top of the stage instead?

I think it might be cool to have a small fountain or something of the like. weight may be an issue but it would look nice and provide some atmosphere for people eating not during any shows.

I think maybe it would be best to get rid of the stage so that theirs more space.

        Tomorrowland Terrace

They need to bring back the entertainers and bands to Tomorrowland Terrace. Reopen the dance floor and let the teens rule Tomorrowland once more. Bring some life back to Tomorrowland, stop jacking around.

        Thank you.

Build a bigger stage and have Power Of Blast do shows there.

I don't like the idea of Gangsta' Rap or the like...

Does Pop Top 40 even exist anymore? Certainly not the bubble gum variety that used to rule the are in the mid-80s.

And, they do bands in the evenings.

To answer the initial question on what I'd do with the stage...

Inspired by last weekend's watching of the "Your friend the atom" on the Tomorrowland DVD.... I'm thinking we demo how to build a uranium nuclear pile, converting uranium into weapons grade plutonium, then show how to extract the plutomium, encase it it shape charges, rig a detonator, and

for the finale, we detonate our very own nuke....

                Or, perhaps not.

Make it look like it did when TL98 debuted. With that globe like futuristic sculpture. It was beautiful!

I liked the shows they did- I thought the Buzz Lightyear was cute for a while, but yes definitely better, and more engaging entertainment in the area would be nice. I really like the "extra's" over at HPBL at DCA- it's original and immersive and get's the crowd involved- something like that would really bring life to the area.

Wouldn't it be kind cool to see a "War of the Worlds" type alien landing take place there nightly?? Yeah, singing and dancing martians would be really corny, but something of that degree would be cool. While they are at it, rip out Fantasy land theatre and put something more useful there!

maybe the stage could be used for the maintainace crew that do a "stomp" routine.

                      or a store...

NO!!!! I hate those guys!!!! Pick up a broom and sweep something up and I will be impressed. A real custodial Cm doesn't have time for such antics
That's supposed to be more of a "hey look how great disneyland is, even the janitors can entertain you while they take out the trash!" as oppossed to a scheduled show.

Projection screens with old 1950s movies about the future, such "Your Friend the Atom," as a backdrop to techno music/dancing in the evenings.

Actually, I'd sort of like a montage of what the future was supposed to look like according to old movies industrial or not.

Id say deffinatly keep the stage. Its very unique in terms of coming out of the ground and such. I second the TL98 orb thing on top. It was very cool looking.

Take out the stage and somehow move the Astro Orbiter there.
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

I like this. Why not have Blast performed on the lower level of Innoventions? Take out the second floor and then install elevator chairs on the carousal part. While Blast is performed, you spin around the stage taking in the show from new angles. You can either keep the chair at orchestra level or ride the chair up the rail until you're suspended over the stage and get a nice bird's eye view of the choreography.

Haha, a "stomp" routine that's great Retlaw! But please don't scare me with another store. I think Premier/LGM Store Command, Star Trader, and Autopia + carts is enough for that area.

I have an idea though, "PUSH!: The talking trash can, LIVE! On stage!"
You loved him in the middle of Tomorrowland running over everyone, now watch him talk to an audience as the comedian of the future-- a robotic trash can.

                                    Oooh.... ahh....

hmm.. what about having it designed to have a show during the day.. and bands at night...

Something like Famuily entertaignment at the day time.. and from dusk till close... Techno or something for dance...

Have the resturaunt server during the day.. Breakfast & lunch and close at night...

and have a generic menu... that way nothing can't be gotten later at night...

Bring back Tomorrowland Terrace, especially with the come home theme going. We had so many good times, eating burgers, and enjoying the music.
Not to offend any of the younger crowd, but if they stick to family fare music,, oldies, pop, I don't think it would start to have the crowd control problems they were having with the after 6 crowd which led to (I believe) to the stages demise. It was a great venue, and it was always fun to start walking into TL hearing the music playing live, adding to the bustle and excitement of Tommorow Land. Good clean fun!
Goin around the world...and back to Disneyland!
