Have you guys heard anything about an exact date for the opening of the Monsters inc ride?

It's aiming for 2006, I think. Don't quote me on that.Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

Yup, same thing that I've heard... 2006 target...
Not to hijack this thread, but I've never ridden on Limo and just recently saw
a video of the ride.... and I might be polyanna'ish here, but I saw lots of things
that could make this a decent Monster Inc ride even w/o doing major change
in the track system. Neat AA here, a hologram here w/ a decent theme and
story could definitely make this work. Well, let's hope so anyway.

I want to hang on to a door for my dear life. You think that will be part of the ride?
Also, I'd like to see the ride use two stories instead of just the one that Lam-o had.
Lame-o sucked big time. According to Jim Hill (not saying you have to believe him), it was supposed to be a faster ride in which the guest was being chased by paparazzi, but then the Princess Di-ed in a high-speed limosine chase while being chasded by paparazzi.

Well, lets just hope its not a slapped together dark ride like pooh ended up being. I really loved the idea of the flying door with a peter pan type ride mechanism. That would have been a really great ride!Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

Please let it be better than POOH! The POOH ride is, well lets face it poo. It would be cool if the car/buggy was a door frame that you could sit on and zip along at a quick pace. I noticed that the Millionaire show was closed. Is it possible that they might extend the track/ride into that building.

It is suposed to be a typical static darkride (Snow, Pinochio, Peter, etc)
but according to Michael on Mouseinfo going to be more interactive then
Buzz. I think this ride will officialy open on DCA's 5th but have soft openings in December for Holiday crowds.

both him and Marcie said that some interactive elements were considered for the ride but were unsure about weather they made it through to the finals or not"We all have sparks, imagination! it's how our minds... create creations!"

It would be cool if it had something to do with the doors, the factory and somehow producing laughs. I have no idea how that would go together (I'm no Imagineer!) but I would like to see those elements with the Peter Pan-esque (or 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea TDL style) track!
Hearing that the Imagineers went to the Haunted Mansion shines a ray of hope on all of this.I'm very optimistic.

I actually would hope that Imagineering does something other than the "flying doors" concept. That's a little too easy to rip out of the movies, and I can imagine a height requirement for a Monsters Inc. coaster like that (kids won't be able to ride). What it sounds like they're doing is just what DCA needs: a nice, family-friendly, Fantasyland-like dark ride. I'll admit it would be cool to have a coaster or high speed indoor ride like that, but I don't think DCA needs that right now.
