Johnny: I would keep an eye on it for the whole week if I were you, as well as talking to the CM's and Leads in the area. (But don't be a pest.)
If they are going to do a Soft Open to test the attraction, they have to get a crew together to run it - and when the Pirates Ride-Op Cast have working hours scheduled on the attraction (and not as Guest Control or on loan to another attraction) the word will get out.
If your luck doesn't hold they will have a successful Soft Open earlier in the week that you could have made (when you didn't check) - and on the 6th something will break early and shut it down for the rest of the day.
The whole idea of a Soft Open is they are unannounced to the public, so there is no pressure to have the ride open, it is for final testing under real conditions - If everything works, great, they will surprise everyone who passes by with an open and running attraction. And if it breaks they may not reopen the attraction to Guests for the rest of the day, even if they fix the problem in a few hours.
