  • What would be the minimum conditions for you to work at Disneyland?

With Disneyland's staggering 15,000 annual employee turnover rates. They're in dyer need of CMs.What would you need at the least to consider working there?
I live in Palm Springs area(Bermuda Dunes),and run my business solo on the weekdays.I'd need weekends only, and be able to work at least 2 16 hour days, for it to be even a consideration for me.
At $8.20 an hour plus time and a half and double overtime.I would earn $360.00 less gas and Motel 6 room at $50.00 that night.I could ride my new motor scooter that gets 70 mpg,but would take 3-4 hours on surface streets.Maybe I could talk my 17 yr old daughter to work there too,for what ever hours she wanted, and I can drive my car.I do want to work there but they have to bend, for me to do it.I'm thinking of calling the hot line next week and pose this to them to see what they say. They need people with an affinity for the park.

I would have to live across the street (or at least have a ~5 minute commute), be able to choose my own job, and make $9.50 an hour.

I wouldn't mind working on the Storybookland Boats, or maybe as the Jolly Trolley CM.

Two roommates, a 2 bedroom apartment around Garden Grove or Fullerton, and That's pretty much it, I know I could get all the overtime I needed and I would actually have insurance (which I don't have now except for auto). And I'm getting a car soon. I love working at an Amusement Park, so the job wouldn't be much different (especially working the 70 hour weeks!!). And i wouldn't mind working the holidays to get the extra cash.

        1) Winning the PCH sweepstakes or the lottery
        2) Moving to California

i would need to live in Anaheim first. I can't drive so I need easy access to a bus. I'm willing to work as they as they have enough for me to live, like what hector says above roomates.

I would sign on to be CM Matt's (or Greg Emmer's) right-hand man. I'm not too good with people. My strengths lie elsewhere. My minimum wage would be about $150,000 per year, four-year contract, with bonuses for increasing the admission revenue.

If you're referring to working as a CM that interacts with guests, and the pay that goes with it, I'd have to win the lottery first. I have expenses.

$40K/yr and a management position with upward prospects,

              or,

$15/hr (what I make now and the reason I turned down my last job offer from them) guaranteed weekends only (so I can continue with my current job to survive.)

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

80K salary, expense account & weekends off. Also some housing assistance and a promise that I would NEVER need to get within 100 yards of IASW.

Starting pay of 12.50 per hour plus a raise every 6 months. Guaranteed 40 hours per week, even in the off season. I would like to specialize in just one or two attractions of my choice. I live close enough so that commuting wouldn't be an issue (15 minutes away). I'm sure if I came in to the Casting Center with those requirements they would laugh.

This is a great thread! Personally, I already live close to disneyland but you cant live in california of off 9 bucks an hour. If I won the lotto I would consider Disneyland as a part time job or when I retire DL would also make agreat part time job. As a sole means of income though... not so much.

Yeah, I'd do it if I won the lotto and didn't have to worry about how to feed myself or pay the mortgage.

I'd want $15 an hour, 40 hours a week and a little time to find an apartment and move down there. I make less than their snazzy $8 at Magic Mountain, but it's flexible and right next to my Disney founded school so it's helping me get through my last year there. After that I need at the very least a $15 an hour job so I can support myself.

If I won the Lotto I wouldn't work at Disneyland. Why work when you don't have to? You guys seem to think that working there is the same as visiting as a guest. It's not. It's not a "magical" place to work. Sure it has its perks but overall it is a very demanding job that most people can't handle, thus the high turnover. Well, that and crappy wages.
