  • Preview of New Space Mountain Music?

    Hey everyone,

While I was in search for a soundtrack clip from the brand new Space Mountain: Mission 2 at Disneyland, I came across an interesting fact. The new composer for this soundtrack supposedley is also doing the one for our brand new take on Disneyland's Space Mountain, and the cool thing is, the soundtracks might be similar. Anyways, here's the clip...

I don't know about you, but if we get anything similar to that, I will be incredibly joyous. That is an awesome (and EXCITING!) soundtrack

I like it...I'm one of those who really liked the old Dick Dale soundtrack, but I was hoping for a different direction with this one, just for something new.
If we get something similar to that, I think it would be great.

you mean surfing in space soundtrack??
Well....yeah.....but I was implying that it wasn't well loved by most...my daughter (who was 17 at the time) loved to remind me how cheesy it was

Of course, I also like California Screamin's "Surfing with the Alien goes to the Carnival" music....which also gets great laughs around our house...

Love it! I definately got an "Incredibles" feel from it. Most likely because the composer did the score for "The Incredibles"

not the same...that music is made to be in sync w/ the track out in Paris. Our mountain requires music in sync to its very different track, so it will have a similar feel, most likely, since it's from the same composer, but a different melody.

I was able to vist DLP in July 2000 and ride Discovery Mountain-De la Terre a la Lune. The soundtrack was fantastic,, as was the ride! Phantom Manor also has a great soundtrack. I am looking forward to riding Space Mountain when it re-opens July 15th. Of course I arrive that day and probably will have to march right over to the park and ride it as soon as I get there.

And then again, now I have an excuse to return to DLP for another visit. 2006? 2007? 2008? When I have enough money!

The Dick Dale track, if nothing else, was very well timed to the ride, if fact you'd think it went faster. This one sounds good too, but we'll have to see how it treats the movement in the ride.
