This visions fantastic has some great video of the submarine ride. It appeared to look like an official Disney Website, but it is actually independent.

Ooo.. Finding Nemo soundtrack overlayyyy...
I can't wait till we get actual concrete details about what this will entail. Honestly, I'm really excited for this ride. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and I think as long as the subs are back, people should be happy as well despite the Pixar tie in. My 2 cents.Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

Yeah... watching the video, it's sad to know how good it was, and how bad it will be with Nemo. So unTomorrowland, so unDisney, so unInteresting...See, George Lucas? I'm not the only one! [<-- i.e. this is not my site]

Like ive been saying im happy the subs are back, however I hate hate hate the Nemo overlay it doesnt make sense for tommorowland AND theres too many pixar rides already. However, the plan is still to wait untill the subs open then complian and b1tch like crazy untill Matt Ouimet and the Imagineers take note and are forced to change the overlay to something more fitting for tommorowland.

I am just wondering how Finding Nemo does not make sense for the subs. What would make sense? Sure its in tomorrowland, but it is also in an area that is considered part of Fantasyland. It seems like a movie that takes place almost entirely underwater makes sense to me. I hate the argument that everything has to be perfectly themed- the subs were futuristic because they represent the future of exploration. The majority of our planet is underwater and we haven't explored even a fraction of their depths. The oceans are our last unexplored frontier on earth- that is what makes them futuristic.
As for the overlay, I hope it contains characters from all disney movies that are connected to the ocean, Little Mermaid, Nemo, Atlantis. I hope that it is subtle and not too cartoonish in the way it is executed.
So seriously, if Nemo is not an apropriate and logical overlay choice, what would be? Subs in space?Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

MEanwhile, here's a repeat of why I can feel free to use my common sense to judge Nemo before it's installed.
1) It's unTomorrowland. Disneyland is a THEMEpark. Putting in rides that defile the theme defiles the park.
2) It's unDisney. Nemo is a Disney presentation of a Pixar film. As good as Indy is, and as good as Star Tours was for a while, they eat away at the feeling of being in a truly Disney land. And, both of those rides were new rides with new vehicles, built to tell a new kind of story. Nemo, by all accounts, is going to take advantage of "grandfathering" and keep the sub ride and vehicle essentially the same. The heart of the story Walt and his Imagineers told back in 1959 is still relevant and exciting. If indeed the first ever E ticket needs to be torn out to build new showbuildings and vehicles to tell that Disney story, so be it. But don't turn an important piece of Disney history into another Gummi Glen-style commercial, especially for a Pixar film which doesn't need any more advertising.
3) It's unInteresting. If anyone tries to claim storms, shipwrecks, underwater cities, volcanoes, and sea monsters are unexciting, I dare them to tell me what about Nemo is so much more exicitng. Hmmm... an aquarium! The fascinating world of dentistry! Oh boy, I changed my mind, give me a FastPass.Dory was a funny character, but aside from that, the movie was a snoozefest. And, more importantly, it isn't interesting in the sense of Immersion into Interesting Illusion. The idea of Nemo is very mundane. If you can see most of the show elements by going to your local Walmart, it's not the makings of an interesting illusion.
See, George Lucas? I'm not the only one! [<-- i.e. this is not my site]

But... there hasn't been anything really DISNEY in the past couple of years, if you're talking about cartoons...
I'm giving this ride the benefit of the doubt. I'm hoping it will be nice. I don't think it will just be like, here's Finding Nemo, the ride. Hopefully it will be sprinkled with educational tidbits, with funny stories. I also heard that the ride will still be the same except with Nemo. That's just what I heard.
I don't want to judge this ride until I ride it.Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

Sort of like SuperMonster Limo... I actually HAVE ridden this ride. I just haven't seen the SHOW they're adding to it. And having seen the movie the show is based on... not interested, for the reasons detailed previously.See, George Lucas? I'm not the only one! [<-- i.e. this is not my site]

See, it in your mind,
and you will find,
in your imagination,
Mysteries and magic,
Visions Fantastic
leading to strange and wonderous dreams...
-Fantasmic!
There was a short video featuring that bit of the Fantasmic soundrack when the site was just starting up, after The Disneyland Source shut down. Man, I swear I almost cried. Its a shame that they don't have that video up anymore.
