  • Character Costume on Ebay?

Has anybody ever seen any of the DL costumes on ebay from bad CMs? I know somebody who actually worked on some of the Mickey costumes and told me a bit of how they are made. Are there any links on eBay?

No, but I've seen homeless people in Anaheim wearing Fantasmic! and parking garage jackets.

I have seen HM CM costumes on eBay in the past, but none of the characters themselves.

Just remember without a well written Disney Villain, there would be no point in the Heroes and the Princesses. Have you hugged a Disney Villain today?

You used to be able to buy all sorts of Cast Member costumes on eBay (though I have never seen an entire "character" costume like Mickey, Minnie, or whoever).

However, Disney seems to have clamped down tremendously on what's being sold on eBay these days--very few entire CM outfits (like Haunted Mansion or Pirates) appear. What you see is stuff that has been legally liquidated, like all the shirts from Energy Adventure, which they had to ditch when Exxon ceased its sponsorship.

Fortunately, I already have several dozen CM outfits in my closet.

He must throw some "interesting" parties with that many outfits.

I've seen a few character things pop up here and there. As I understand it, Disney has people who put in bids on those items, win the auction, and use the resulting contact information to find the person who stole it and/or is selling it. Character costumes do end up in the hands of CMs on occasion, but most of those who have them are smart enough to keep their mouths shut about it.

If you're that desperate to have a costume (cm or character), go work at the park.

People with a cm costume who don't work there sound like losers to me.

No argument there. Although some people I know who have them were CMs in that particular area and kept costumes as keepsakes more than anything.

I just searched E bay for Cast members and I have gotten 624 cast member items. Apperently there are Cast member only items such as pins that you can only purchase if you are a cast member at Disneyland

Check this out ( maybe your name is in here and you can put on one of these and pretend to be a CM)

All I have to say to that "desperate" comment is that everyone enjoys life in their own ways. For those to harp on another's enjoyment is quite the definition of the word they are throwing around... loser.

There is no need for name calling, Eaglewings...and remember, some people might considered an 18 yr old obsessed with attending every BPB a (in your own words) "loser"

(and I'm saying this in the kindest way, not judging you at all, I just remember all your posts about BPB)...so don't be so quick to judge people based on what they like.

Besides, not everybody wants to go work at the park

                              Whats BPB ?
Thank you for this post, I love it!
so what if people have costumes of cast members or carectors, to each his own. Heck I would love to have a few to dress up in on Halloween
and I for one would not want to work at Disneyland. No I am not dissing it, I just could never do it, survive it, or enjoy it. Cudo's to those who do work there, you rock, and make my time at disneyland awsome!
