  • Early entry to DCA from the GC question?

I searched old threads and cannot find the answer to my question (I swear)

What time do they stop checking at the GC entrance into DCA to see if you are a guest of the resort?

I'm coming down in a couple of weeks and I'm staying off-site :::audible gasp:::: but we still want to have breakfast at Storytellers before going into DCA.

I'm trying to decide what time to make the PS for so we can just go into DCA after bfast withouh having to walk all the way out of the hotel. (or better yet, will they even ask me if I'm staying there? Last time we stayed there they didn't, but then again I wasn't paying attention because I REALLY was staying there LOL)

    TIA

Sometimes I think it depends on who's working the turnstiles. We have gotten into DCA after eating breakfast at Storytellers twice and were refused entrance once. I do know that a breakfast receipt from Whitewater snacks has never worked to get us in that way.

Generally, with a receipt from a restaurant in the GCH they have let me in, if they are bothering to check.

I used the GC/DCA entry numerous times last week, both legitimately as a GC hotel guest and after I checked out. Sometimes I was asked to show my room key or hotel ID charge slip; other times they just scanned my ticket. By the way, it isn't an early entrance in the same vein as DL, although I think they do offer early entrance to Soarin' sometimes.

This is funny. Did you slide the Whitewater Snacks receipt and tell the gate guard that "maybe this little tidbit will change your mind"?
