I want to make a CD with songs about Disneyland (ie: "Disneyland" by Five for Fighting or "Tragic Kingdom" by No doubt) not songs that have been played in the park, no land soundtracks, just about the park-ish or have a nice mention of the park in them. Does anyone have any suggestions? They are GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much. :monkey:

Songs ABOUT Disneyland
Last edited by FloggingMorgy; 04-12-2005, 10:19 PM.You would think that being in New York for eight months out of the year would be cool...not when the closest thing you have to Disneyland is the World of Disney Store on Madison.Tags: None

My favorite is "Stukas Over Disneyland" by the Dickies. Conjured up some interesting mental imagery. http://www.cduniverse.com/productinf...cart=241139523My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club

Mickey Mouse
(Ron & Russell Mael)
Can you raise both your hands and clap 'em
Can you say, "sure, I'll always try"
Can you make friends among people and animals
Basically, everything is easy
Give it a try, you'll see I'm right
Cause if a mouse can be special, well so can you
And my name is Mickey Mouse
To the right is Minnie Mouse
And we own a little place in Disneyland, California
Let's have a party and be happy
Can we invite our closest friends
We can ask Donald Duck, Pluto, and all the gang
And my name is Mickey Mouse
To the right is Minnie Mouse
And we own a little place in Disneyland, California
Well, you should try to smile, dear
Get yourself a pet deer
dog
cat
bird
pig
lamb
horse
cow
fox
wolf
snake
ox
fish
goldfish
mouse
And my name is Mickey Mouse
To the right is Minnie Mouse
And we own a little place in Disneyland, California
Did you raise both your hands and clap 'em
Did you say, "sure, I'll always try"
Cause you look hesitant, wary, or am I wrong
You an go off and be a loner
Maybe you can't believe a mouse
But when you feel the need, come back
I'm here...for...you...and you
And my name is Mickey Mouse
To the right is Minnie Mouse
And we own a little place in Disneyland, California

I'm partial to Five For Fighting's "Disneyland."
And I'm most pleased to see that I'm not the only one who knows and loves Sparks' "Mickey Mouse."Eric Dean

There is a song from "Smile"- the flop Broadway Musical called "Disneyland."
Ironically sung by the woman who voiced Airel in "The Little Mermaid."
Hot Sunday night, I guess the folks were busy fighting
Joe'd already left home
Eleven years old on my own feeling nothing but lonely
Nothing to do, there's nothing out there but the traffic
Down on 'state 93
So I'd sit through the night by our old black and white TV
That's where I saw it
That's when I heard it
Calling, calling me
Disneyland
Magic Kingdom
Disneyland
I Close my eyes real tight wishing hard I might
Wishing hard I may
Find my way to
Disneyland
Gotta get to
Disneyland
On a western breeze, magic carpet please
Carry me away
Oh, I know you're gonna say the trees are paper mache
It's done with mirrors, the magic there
Each little bird's full of springs
You press a button music it sings
Recorded music in the air
They've had the mountain replaced
It's only plywood and paste-- go on, say it
I'll turn around and tell you I don't care
I don't care.
I will live in Disneyland
Make my home in Disneyland
Maybe it's all fake
That's a chance I'll take
It's perfectly OK
Someone give me Disneyland
Take me there, to Disneyland
And when I get to Disneyland
I'll StayLast edited by gcal; 04-13-2005, 01:41 PM.

there are a few songs called disneyland as well, come on, tom grounds, darlington and the meteors all have songs called disneyland. plus the smugglers song death at disneyland.
some are bad some are terrible.
im guessing youre into flogging molly, smugglers will be the best.
there is also the album in disneyland by freddie and the dreamers. but its all music from the movies/parks. though a 60s liverpudlian lounge rock band singing the unbirthday song, is quite funny.
isnt napster wonderful :bow:We Play Rock and Roll

I was ready about Jason Marz's song "Remedy" and there's a line that says "I saw fireworks from the freeway". He said he was driving up to LA for a show and was driving by disneyland and saw a firework show that reminded him of his friend who has a b-day July 4th and as a kid thought all the fireworks on that day were for him. The song's about his friend who always had a positive attitude, even when he was battling cancer (fyi. the friend's cancer free now)
This is more of a disneyland inspired song rather then a song about disneyland...oh well!
