  • Public Relations in the resort

I already asked this in the Break Room but I was curious if anybody knew here...and since it involves disneyland of course, I thought this would be a good place....

Now I was curious what it takes to get into Public Relations at Disneyland...I'm pretty sure it is public relations..

the people in the plad vests, they usually cater to Those with terminal illnesses, special groups, and celebs....This looks like alot of fun and I was curious...thanks to anyone who can help me with this

    That's Guest Services.

Basically Guest Services handles the information booths, City Hall, etc.

Only the best of the best get chosen to handle tours or what you describe, however.

I have no personal experience. But it seems, if you can be chosen to be a tour guide, or otherwise qualify, then you would be part of a "team" that could be chosen for celebrity tours or group tours.

I think you have to have some PR experience to be in guest relations.

Anyone know how much they get paid? Is it more than the 'regular' employees, or more?

I have no idea....I saw the guy who was giving the new hire orientation 1 day, doing PR for a celeb at my ride the next, and than inside the Disney Learning Center working in there the day after that....so It has to be some type of park wide thing, I'm not sure...
