Just started hearing fireworks about 5 minutes ago, and ran out to my balcony. They're launching large shells in a multiple of colors, from what I can see. Looks like they've started testing!!!!!!!
I heard them go off and I was going to run and go see them, but then I realized that I wanted to be thoroughly surprised on the first real day of the show. Plus, I didn't know that I wanted to try and run up all twelve flights of stairs to the top of the parking structure to get a good enough view.
I just heard from a friend and fellow CM. They tested the WHOLE SHOW today minus the "pyro in the round" at the hub, tinkerbell, and the laser effects. Apparently the Isopar FLAMES they're using for the Indy sequence are AMAZING, FANTASTIC, and AWESOME!!! He also said that there is a LOT lifted from the Wishes sound track, both at the begining of the show and the end...just a fair warning to you all.

Anyway, from what I can see through the blasted trees (anyone got a chainsaw we can borrow to fix that problem?), the most amazing were these gold "sparkly" bursts that lingered forever in the sky before burning out. And they just kinda sat there, in a very slow cascade, unlike previous "cascade" silvery fireworks that flutter a bit and burn out fairly quickly. Nope - this stuff lingered for a LONG time.
We're planning on heading over to the nearby Ralph's parking lot next week around the same time, because there is a perfect unobstructed view from there. (I love shopping there around 9:30 during fireworks season. Makes groceries sparkly. )
Yes I concur... My first reaction to the video was also just WOW! It really does look great based on the video. I personally, didn't think they would be able to top Believe! but alas, I could be wrong. Questions. Does anybody else worry about the big gaping hole near the top of the Matterhorn? My only concern is that it diminishes the illusion for the guests that the Matterhorn is a real mountain. I hope they will have some way to hide it with smoke or something during the show. I also thought it was way cool how they made the top of the matterhorn a launch point. I know that the the top of the Matterhorn is the launch point in the video from the east side of the park but does anyone know where the launch point is coming from the west side? Thanks dizneyteen for the link to the great video and thanks to Karl and whoever else helped shot and edit the video at Mouse Planet = )
I am downloading it. I Maybe I will see it sometime around May 5th at the rate my dial-up is going.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.
Wow, Icannot wait for the summer I think I will make a stop in May.I cannot wait. Thanks to those who shared this!! I really appreciate it. Those shots off the Matterhorn are shocking and amazing.
