  • "You may get wet"... from a parade?

Anybody else heard these announcements for the 50th parade, which claim "You may get wet" while watching? Did I imagine this? Anybody know what this is all about?

And no, it's not going to be "Rockit Parade" after dark... :botox:

It wouldn't be the first time a D/L parade got spectators wet - remember The Lion King Celebration? One of the floats would spray out water - real nice on a hot summer day.....

I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair, then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserved them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe........

the phrasing of "you may get wet" makes me think there may be a Splash Mountain element.

I say that to all my dates when we go out. I end up correct most of the time, too!
My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club

Yes the Alladin parade had a camel float that spit water, and the Mulan parade had a float ehind the solders that also shot out water. The lion king float was the rain forest and it would rain but not directly at guests but the wind would blow it to them it was more of a mist though not a stream of water like the other two.

I know in the Parade of Dreams there will be pop jet fountains on the Ariel float as well as cascades on the side of her and on the Lion King float as well.

The Parade at Animal Kingdom also had a "water" element to it. So obviously it is not uncommon to get "wet" from a parade.

I was one of the "spittoon carriers" and got to watch this over and over. It was a hoot seeing guest's reactions!

I think there are supposed to be fountains on some of the floats.
