Has anyone ever thought of putting a Miramax film (and DIMENSION) themed land in DCA. You could have thrill rides based on SIN CITY, KILL BILL, etc. and have a theater section devoted to showing clips of new MIRAMAX movies and OSCAR winning MIRAMAX movies. It could probably attract a much more adult crowd to DCA and hopefully increase its attendance.

I think that Disney has been trying to distance its image from that of Miramax. The casual observer would think that Disney had sold Miramax years ago. Its an interesting idea, but Disney has worked too hard to appear they have nothing to do with Miramax except making tons of money off of them (the only way you would even know is by looking at the back of the DVD's). It probably wouldn't happen.Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

I have been making a joke about this for a LONG time... I file the concept in the "you-gotta-be-fricken-kidding-me" department...
Still a Jack Rabbit Slims Restaurant in Hollywood Pictures Backlot does sound appealing... No body would know!!!!
We can sit there in the Chevy, instead of that singles bar, and someone could lean over the dashboard and say... "Wanna go dancing, DQ?"

With you? Anytime!
It would be pretty cool to see something like 'Chicago" done at the Hyperion.Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

This is without question one of the most inane threads I've ever seen on these boards. My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club

Yeah, I'd much rather see more Touchstone influence than Miramax.
Let's face it. I'd give one of any body part that comes in twos to keep Nemo out of the Sub Lagoon, and Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou would fit the bill AND have a much more Tomorrow-looking exploration theme.See, George Lucas? I'm not the only one! [<-- i.e. this is not my site]

The unenthusiastic voice over set to a jamacan guitar soundtrack... and cheap plastic shark that killed his partner... Yeah, right... I think I would rather stare at a wall for an hour and a half...
Wait, I already did that watching the movie....Last edited by cellarhound; 04-16-2005, 09:22 AM.Check out my other blog:

More Miramax Land ideas:
A "Chocolat" shop (with an animatronic Johnny Depp for the ladies)
"Swingers" lounge
A "City of God" ride with crazy chase scenes and drug-induced hallucinations driving you to madness (oh wait...too similar to Mr. Toad's?)
And just think of what the imagineers could do with the 'decent into the loo' scene from "Trainspotting"!The Hedgehog's Dilemma
