  • Stuck in Disney

Well in light of the recent and frequent breakdowns of POTC I beg to ask the question. What was your worst experience of being stuck on a Disney ride? Personally it was when I was stuck on "It's a Small World" for three hours. I was ready to take my own life. That was 7 years ago that I was stuck. Since that experience I have only been on the ride one time and that was just a month ago when my best friend came to visit me.

Why in the (small) world would they have left you on the ride for 3 hours???

Hopefully they turned the music off...

    What a nightmare!

last year we were on indianna jones and the ride stopped while we were right next to the fire pit, the music stopped the lights turned on but because we are just the luckiest group of people in the world we got to sit next to the toasty fire for 2 and half hours!! not my favorite experience.
they let us ride through it again after the ride started but while we were in the room where the walls shot air back and forth, the car stopped and the lights turned on...we were there for another hour and a half. needless to say i spent way to much of my trip on that ride!!

Why are people "stuck" on rides for so long when the ride breaks down?

I've had only a few rides stop for just awhile.
We had to get out of line once in HM (while in the changing portraits...were there for about 10 minutes).
Superstar Limo also stopped on us. We got out with no time spend sitting.
                I've been lucky.
I have wanted to stop at certain places on rides just to be able to get out and walk through the ride...but not the lucky (HM, POTC and cool rides like that).

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

Trust me I asked myself the same question after about 30 minutes of being on the ride.

I've only been evacuated for one ride, and that was winnie the pooh. Fortunatly we were near the end of the ride by the party scene, not in the heffalump and woozle room (or as my brother calls it the 'acid trip room'). I was momentarily stuck on Jungle Cruise about two hours before midnight on December 31, 1999. We were only stuck for about half an hour though. Our skipper joked that we could jump in at midnight then quickly revoked that offer in case someone decided she was serious.

I've only been stuck on one disney ride: Big Thunder Mountain. The train just stopped as we were going up a hill. We weren't stranded for hours though, we were only in the train for about 10 minutes before someone came out and evacuated us off the ride, so it wasn't a horrible experience. In fact, It was pretty fun. We got to walk along part of the track and got some passes for when the ride went back up.

I've been stuck on Snow White, only 15 minutes, and we got to walk through. The peoplemover, 25 minutes, got to walk off. That's it and I'm glad it was never a long wait!!

That piece of shizzle rocket rods had my family stuck in drizzle for 45 minizzles.

Question, for those who were stuck for a long time, were there any CMs that came by or speaker announcements to keep you informed as to what was going on? If not, were you compensated in anyway more than just a free pass. I man after three hours stuck in IASW, the last thing I would think was compensation was a pass to ride again.
Stalking is when two people go for a long romantic walk together but only one of them knows about it.
