  • AP Upgrade question - Going tomorrow and need help ASAP

I KNOW this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it, so here goes...

I'm taking my family to DL tomorrow (Friday), and we all have Select Passes.

As I understand it, here is what I need to do:

    1) Buy Blackout passes @ $30 each
    2) Use the Blackout passes (and our APs) to get into the park
    3) On our way out, go to AP processing and they will upgrade us.

    Is the above true?
Is there any express booths for Blackout passes?

    Thanks a bunch

Well, I searched around some more, and I think my plan is correct: get the Blackout pass and upgrade later. What I DIDN'T realize was that Blackout passes were subject to availability. We're planning to get there before the park opens, so it shouldn't be a problem, but others should be aware of that little hitch.

Since POTC officially re-opens tomorrow, I wonder how many people will be doing exactly what I'm planning... This could get ugly.

That sounds about right. You could upgrade as soon as you enter the park. Whenever the line is shortest.
If you see a cute yellow lab puppy with a yellow cape, WAVE! It might be us! (Or it may be someone else that lurks here!) Thank you for asking before you pet! Next trip, Dec 22-Jan 3rd.

<checking date of post> POTC reopened officially on Monday. But tomorrow is the last day SoCal APs can get in for the summer, so it may be crowded.
