  • Disneyland Artwork

    Hi,

Does Disneyland sell artwork of the park, like paintings for on the wall? If they do, what is the price range, where do they sell it and most importantly, is there any information about what they sell on the internet?

www.disneygallery.com is the online source for premium artwork sold at the park. Inside Disneyland, upstairs above Pirates of the Carribean is the Disney Gallery. This is where the high end artwork is sold in the park. Prices vary from 50 dollars for a large lithograph to several thousand dollars for a painting. Many of the paintings are only on display and will not be sold. You can expect to pay what you would normally pay for an original painting. The prices aren't outrageous and there seems to be something for every prices range, depending on what you want.

They sell really nice high quality prints that you can even have printed on canvas at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney. I was thinking about buying some Pirates Marc Davis concept art for myself.

That's really the only website that I know of the pertains to things you can purchase at the park. However, there are all kinds of online stores that sell the same kind of thing you might find in the park. You migh want to try www.mouseshoppe.com - I believe they get their merchandise direct from the park.

Thanks for that link! Just had a look at what they have on offer. It seems there are only attractions posters. Some of them are really nice, but I was hoping there'd be more like a concept painting or some really classic picture of the castle or some of the older attractions, like what they have in some books like "WDI"A behind the dreams look at making the magic real" but than on a bigger format of course

I was fortunate enough to go through the World of Disney store for the first time the other day. I must say that the paintings in there were so much more fantastic than the paintings in the Disneyana store or the Disney Gallery. I just couldn't believe it!

Well, like I was saying before, they sell huge prints of both HM and PotC concept art from the computer at World of Disney... it's in the fine art/jewelry room, on the right hand side. I think that's the Ursula side? There's a little computer in the wall, and you can have made all kinds of prints, and they also have examples in print to show you since the ones on screen are so tiny and pixelated!

I've always wondered if a person could create their own painting of Disneyland from their own photographs and sell it themselves, either with or without permission from Disney.

People seem to be able to sell their own photographs of the park (because they hold the copyright to the photo). Even poster size aerial views are becoming available with no involvement from Disney.

                            Any thoughts?
