  • Tomarrowland question

Does the obsevatron in Tomarrowland still work? I know most people think it's dumb, and some people think it's supposed to be a clock, but personally, I love the thing and the loud music thruout tmwland. It used to go off about every 15 min or so, is that still true for today?

I haven't seen it working at all in quite some time. There were refurb tarps up around the base (where the old PM loading ramp used to be). I think they're just painting, but here's hoping that they're working on taking the blasted thing down entirely!

Hey, I never even thought of that. That's cool how they hid it into the look of Disneyland and the concept art.

Maybe that was the purpose of it all this time. Maybe it's really just a satelite for Radio Disney.
I still think they should have left Radio Disney inside the Booth. I thought that was one of the coolest things. Not every day people get to see an actuall live RadioStation. None the less playing their very own music.

I've wandered Tomorrowland for hours at a time, and never seen it operate.

I don't exactly feel broken-hearted about it though.

I'd like to see it turned back into Rocket Jets.

I thought that it was becoming a new AAA booth... since the older one got removed during the plaza pavilion renovation or something like that......

I completely agree. Moving the Astro Orbitor to ground level was one of the biggest errors of the new Tommorowland. This is one area where WDW has DL beat. I can't even imagine how much it would cost to get them back up there, but it would be worth it.
