Without a doubt night time. There is no comparison for me.

Although Disneyland is easier to navigate through during the day, I prefer night. The park becomes an entirely new place. Totally transformed, and in my opinion, much more "magical"
and since i pretty much know the park like the back of my hand, i dont really need to worry about having problems navigating through it, right?

Disneyland after dark...doesn't get much better than that.

Maybe that is why we usually get there mid-day and then stay until closing. We always get a kick out of the closing announcement about staying open for "our" shopping convenience. Yeah, right. How about their "profit from sales" from that extra hour . We crack up over the (mostly) men and their (usually sleeping) kids hanging out on Main St while the wives are in the store shopping...

As has been said already, there's just something about Disneyland at night, it's a different experience. The lighting on the castle, the tiki torches of adventureland, etc. Granted I'm more of a night person to begin with, but there's just something about being there under the stars.

The park in the darkness. The Jungle Cruise is 1000% better...

Early Early Early Morning.... like 8 or 9 am....

                  OR NIGHT!!

Plus, after 10 and 11 pm, everyone filters out of the park, and I can ride so many rides!

right about 5 is when it starts to get good, the sunset starts coming, the lights are being turned on, and the fireworks (normally) will be in the air soon.
You would think that being in New York for eight months out of the year would be cool...not when the closest thing you have to Disneyland is the World of Disney Store on Madison.

                        Night is the time!

Even Walt liked night better! There is something about the lighting and the mood that really makes you feel like you are in a different world.

Definitely nighttime. You can't get images like this during the day -

My fondest memory of Walt Disney was the day Disneyland opened....I was standing next to him - I was 12 years old - he was looking at the gate where people were coming through, he had his hands behind his back, he had a grin from ear to ear, but you could see the lump in his throat and the tear coming down his cheek because his dream had been realized. -- Mouseketeer Sharon Baird, "Mouseke-Memories", Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club

Night time. The lights at night bring a whole new level of magic. I especially like the twinkly Christmas-type lights in the trees around the hub.

night time is the right time

dl is best at night. it is a bit cooler, the twinkley lights and mood lighting make every thing seem magical. most rides are better the later it gets. Matterhorn is spookier. btrr is the best just before closing. churros taste better. ahhh, yes, night is best.

Night....just plain magical! If only my daughter could make it past the fireworks, but she poops out right about then.
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

No question that I like teh park best at daytime. There most definitely is a special feeling in the park at night but I just prefer the magical feeling during the day. Plus I can take the time to marvel over tiny details that can't be seen at night. Many times I leave teh park once it's dark.
What if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about?

while it is better at nightime, Tomorrowland seems to be much better during the day. THe best (the only) good thing about Tomorrowland '98 is that it looked pretty good at night, in which the much-better Tomorrowland '67 didnt look as good at night. Does anybody remember how they ran the Sub's at night? I dont remember how you could see the scenery, but i know that they ran them at night

The only problem with night is that there is generally less of it than day ...... and it is usually nearer to the end of my visit, which is sad ..... ... but BTMRR is faster and there are fireworks ........ and Fantasmic ........ and neon, and flame .............
