May 4 event - no nightime admission?

A local radio station has a contest for the May 4 event (like many) ... but this one has information in the "official rules" that I havent read/heard before. Apparently, all "Winners" are invited to enjoy DCA - AFTER DISNEYLAND CLOSES AT 5 PM on May 4. So, DL for the day, then... please leave, we have "stars" coming, thank you!

Of course this may not apply to all contest winners, but it is consistent with the plans Al reported wayyyyy back on how the media and public were not invited to the nighttime events.

We shall learn more when "winners" of the AP contest start getting their letters I guess!

I won tickets for May 4 through a local radio station (KLOS - Mark and Brian). I got my letter on Saturday that the tickets are good for May 4 from 8:30am to 5pm, and they are also including additional tickets to enter DCA after that, so yeah, they're kicking us out of the celebrity party, but I didn't expect to be able to attend that, even if I had gotten selected in the AP contest. I'm a bit bummed that we'll only be able to see the new fireworks from DCA but not be able to hear the music, but we'll be able to do that on May 5 anyway, so no real biggie.

The Resort is trying to make the nighttime event as comfortable as possible for the celebrities invited. Obviously, with hundreds (or thousands) of guests gawking all night, very few people would choose to attend (and attract media attention). After all, when was the last time you were invited to catch a flick at Mann's Chinese during a big film premiere?

This is correct. The after hours party is for VIPS and Media only... ok, now I have to gloat... I'll be at both events. There is some special musical performances planned on the river stage that evening, but I am not sure I am supposed to say who, so I'll just keep my mouth shut for now.
