  • Star of "Dream Girls" signs on to do Gay Days at Disneyland

    http://www.advocate.com/news_detail_ektid34829.asp

Jennifer Hudson, star of the upcoming film version of the musical Dreamgirls,American Idol finalist, reportedly beat out American Idol winner Fantasia to win the choice role of Effie, one of the three titular Dreamgirls in the film, which is being adapted and directed by Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters, KinseyBig Brother, Logo's Round Trip Ticket).

Gay Days attendees, who typically wear red shirts to be visible among other park guests, will visit the Disneyland theme park on Saturday, October 7, and the California Adventure theme park on Sunday, October 8. Both gatherings in the parks, which are privately organized and not endorsed by the Disney company, include scheduled rendezvous times for specific groups, such as gay youth (sponsored by the Trevor Project), gay families, women, singles, and gay male "bears." Organizers also sponsor a scavenger hunt and group photos each day. For more information or to buy tickets to the parties, go to gaydaysanaheim.com.

I loved Jennifer Hudson. It's a shame she had to lose because of a power outage in Chicago. But, she's on to bigger and better things now!!! Good for her...and good for Gay Days. It's always good to see stars "come out" for these things. I think it's their way of accepting us...and that's alright with me!!! Now, if only we could get Lance Bass and the rest of N*Sync to perform. Then we'd really have a party!!!...and PLEASE LANCE, BRING REICHEN!!!

          I'm jealous!
