I picked TOT because of its combination of a clear story and a unique thrill experience. There's something about the floating thing that gives me a huge adreniline rush each and everytime. And hopefully some day we'll get the random drop program. Indy has a good story but I don't find it particularly thrilling, it's exciting but I don't get a rush from it. Splash has thrill plus story but it gets me wet, which I don't like. The others like Space, BTMRR, and Screamin' are all thrilling but they don't have an imersive story element.
There are better overall rides at DLR (POTC) and if the question was about the best coaster, of course my answer would be different. But since we're talking best overall thrill ride, it has to be TOT for me.

I just love the MATTERHORN. I wish every Disney thrill ride could basicly be a variation on the Matterhorn (Big Thunder kind of is, but it's not as fast and thrilling). EVEREST in FL kind of is Matterhorn on Steroids.
Can we get something like that here, please??? TDA: We need a second peak near Matterhorn, to rise over the Autopia/Monorail/Submarines...
EXPEDITION EVEREST could tie the whole Discoveryland/Explorerland concept together and the subs and autopia could stay. Build tunnels over the autopia track and build UP, then the subs can go under the autopia track and the autopia track can go over the subs, the monorail over the autopia. What I'm suggesting is the monorail and autopia could go through tunnels under EXPEDITION EVEREST, which would be even taller than Matterhorn on the edge of the park. Even the train could tunnel under part of it, like Splash.
Build us another thrill mountain! OK I can dream can't I?

I voted for Indy, but it was tough to choose between Indy and Tower. I ultimately picked Indy though because it's unique to Anaheim.. You can get the Tower of Terror at WDW (and soon at every other Disney resort across the globe), and from some reports, I've heard WDW's Tower is superior than DCA's with it's 5th deminsion scene and random drops)
Indy is just a great ride. It never gets old and has the best queue ever. Tower's queue is great, but the outside portion is very unengaging. Indy's outdoor queue is even great- the huge serpant pillars are great, and the whole atmosphere is excellent
Space, CA Screamin,' etc... theyre all just rollercoasters to me. Nothing too great about them... CA Screamin' doesnt really have that much of a repeat value to me.. i wont wait more than 20 minutes for it and I just havent been on Space in so long that I can't really honestly evalutate it.. and the Matterhorn always has an enormous line...
And I just don't like Thunder Mntn very much....

Put me in the "other" category...I'll go with Splash. I'm not a roller coaster kind of person, I guess...

Indy for me.
It's innovative (at least at the time) and it's huge variability is what does it for
me. I recently rode Dinosaur in WDW and although it's more abrupt, the "story"
in Indy was much stronger. Also I thought that the meteorite "impact" affects was
really, really weak. The boulder in Indy works much better. Also a better "resolution"
as well.
The only caveat to this is how the new Space will look esp w/ it's rumored "Rock It"
Mountain mode. On theory, that could become the new leader for me. We'll see!
Also the queue is an apex in immersive queue design (that I've seen anyway).
It knocks the socks off of all the other thrill rides. (Again, the new Space Mountain
could prove to be better here as well).

California screamin' has got them all beat... Rockin' Rollercoaster has it beat Thrill wize... but California Screamin' has it beat over-all. (in my opinion)

California Screamin' is the second-best roller coaster ever built by Disney (on a thrill level, not on a theming level). The best? Rock'n'RollerCoaster on the other coast.

Hard to say about Space Mountain, since we really don't know what changes the rehab has in store for us....so California Scream' for me!

indy-best dark ride in the world, not tremendously scary, but what is at disneyland compared to something like xcelerator, or something like that.
