In minutes, how long is Fantasmic at Disneyland?

Just a simple question, after reading much other info on Fantasmic. Just how long is Fantasmic at Disneyland, in minutes? Thanks

Long enough to get onto 2 E-ticket rides while the crowd all huddles around the river... I have seen the show enough to no longer care about it. I just use it as a great oppertunity to go on rides with short lines

Thank you for the speedy reply. Sure looking forward to seeing the Dinseyland Fantasmic. Does sound better than the version at WDW. I think standing for that long will not be too bad. Of course have to figure in extra time to stake out a good spot. Thanks again.

People start sitting around 6pm- if you get there earlier enough, you don't have to stand. Sometimes you can bring a blanket large enough for your whole party and then take turns saving the spot. The spots right around rivers of america are sitting only. If you don't mind standing, the bridge above pirates offers an excellent un obstructed view- but you have to get there about 8pm to get a good spot for that area. Or you could just wait until the 9:00 Fantasmic clears out and try and snag a seat then- the 10:30 show tends to be less crowded.
I would reccommend doing fantasmic and the fireworks on different nights, as it is impossible to get optimal viewing for both in the same night, unless, of course you pay extra for the Fantasmic dessert viewing.

Hope you enjoy it! I have heard it is much better than WDW's. I have seen it more times than I can count and I always enjoy it. The music will be stuck in your head for days!

They don't have the exit music at the 9 showing if they have fireworks after, right? I usually catch the fireworks(if they have them) in the hub and then head over to catch the 10:30 showing. It usually empties out pretty past if you just wait at least 10 minutes after the show. I don't think I will be catching the 10:30 show on May 5th though.

No they always play the exit music because the fireworks usually start around 9:30. I was on Fantasmic cleanup a lot and we used the exit music to try and clean the area while people were moving around- we had to move fast to clean everything up so the next crowd could sit there.

Deffinatly you want to sit. Standing really sucks, especially when you have been standing holding a spot for you and your boyfriend for 45 mins, chatting with a CM. Then a lady decides to stand behind you, and 5 mins before the show starts, her 14 family memebers decided to crowd behind you as well. I wanted so badly to step on their feet, we were right next to a random roped off spot, and when I was so cramped that I couldn't stand up straight without falling into someone, I accidentally stepped out of rope line, and then I got yelled at. Take up space when you sit, save at least 2 peoples worth more space then you need. Tell people your purse needs its personal space. And grrrr at them men in the yellow jackets. I hate getting yelled at in Disneyland.

with stakeout time, fantasmic is too long for my feet yet not nearly enough for my eyes.
i prefer the later show. and if you do the later show make sure you are out of critter country and new orleans sqaure before the show begins and take advantage of fantasyland, tomorrowland, and jungle crusie and indy rides during this time. staying in nos or cc will trap you cause it is a bear to get out even though there is roped off and manned walkway space.
then watch from the hub as everyone mass exits after fantasmic.

I'm not sure how they can use the exit music once Remember starts...if Fantasmic! starts at 9, it ends at 9:23 and Remember starts at 9:25, with music pumped through the speakers park-wide...

maybe its different- I always remembered them using it for both shows. When I was there in 2001, the fireworks were at 9:30. Maybe I am just remembering it wrong.

I watched a show in 2004 at 9:00, the exit music didn't play. I was waiting for it because I wanted to hear it, but the fireworks announcement came on instead. It's probably been different in past years.

If you want a good spot and not wait forever, just off center stage on the middle row is the tech booth where they run the show. Behind them is a light tower. before the show they are down and block the veiw of the stage, but just before the show starts the rise up and out of veiw. Most peopledo not know this so if you get there about 30 min befor show you are usualy ok. Now sometimes some one who knows lines up early and every body follows but its worth the try. It is also a great view of the show it where it was directed from so hope this helps.

Just to add to what others have said...the best way to do it and maximize your time at the park is to see that second show...to get a good seat for the first one you almost always have to wait hours...(By the way, the light tower Skipper mentioned is an awesome spot, but as he said, this spot can't be counted on anymore...the secret seems to be out there...

As soon as the first fantasmic ends (and the fire works, if any) and the lights come on, you have about a 10 minute window where the first huge crowd is clearing out, and the second crowd starts to filter in...

Check the time of the first show, plan to be near Pirates 25 min. after the first show starts...(40 if the fireworks are going...watching the fireworks from this area isn't the BEST view, but it does offer an interesting perspective...) and if you time it right, you can walk right up to the seating area in the very front and have to wait only like an hour...

Good time for snackins...and the clam chowder bread bowls are really close by...
