Oh, me too. Been following all of the Orbiter and PM threads for some time and I can't help but get the feeling that maybe somebody over there at TDA has been following them too. Maybe all of our noise can make a difference!

Al said some strange things in that section. A revamped People Mover Ride would possibley be coming back. But then said that the Rocket Rods would be returned to thier rightful place atop the loading hub, freeing up space at the Entrance. Huh? I don't get that remark at all. If the people mover is coming back, why would the Rocket Rods go back into the loading station, and how can that free up space at the entrance to the land. What did I miss here?
Rocket Jets, Lost Boy. That's the old name for the Astro Orbiter when it used to be up high above the People Mover station and you had to ride a Nasa-like gantry lift elevator to board them. Putting them back in their old local would definitly free up space at the Hub and imrove traffic flow into Tomorrowland. It would also look alot better.

OOOOOHHH MAN!! Peoplemover coming back!? Yess it does begin..hahah and i think Al was talking about putting the Rockets that are in front of tommorowland back on top of the platform. OOHH MAANNN!!! thats all I can say.. but I dont wanna get my hopes up til i see some demo or construction and heck no rocket rods are comign back.. evviiill
I made the same mistake as Lost Boy when I originally read the article. I never got to ride the Rocket Rods, so I got a little excited. I thought they were considering building them right this time!
I just Hope that if they do return, it isn't some crazy wannabe thrill ride. In 5 years I would love to come and ride the ride with my furutre 5 year old, and both of us enjoy it.
It is a good day indeed.
Maybe there are people really listening to what Disneyland fans want finally!
I remember going up the tower to ride Astro jets. It totally added to the effect of the relatively simple ride. It felt like you were on a space rocket loading dock.
The people mover is going to be great regardless of how they do it.
Heck, my mom isn't a MiceChatter, and told me that out of everything she loves about DIsneyland, she wishes most that the PeopleMover was back. She said she loved the Tron part.
And also ATIS. But she just wants that back because she said it was a good makeout ride, hahaha.
I remain skeptical... but very hopeful. It would truly be excellent to have a new Peoplemover put in place there. Especially if they used all that incredibly happy music they had before.
"Say, uh, ever hear of the devil's paint pots? Real mystery of the desert. Bubblin' pots of mud in all kinds of colors."

This would truly be cause for celebration - - Please Matt and Jay, sign the budget papers and make it so! Why not finalize it before the big announcement next week!!!
