Space Mt. No launch

:confused: So Al said in his update people have been riding it and the track is the same. So what was the big deal about the "New Launch" Is that gone? Has any one ridden it yet? Why did they just add new track and effects what happend to the launch? :confused:

Unfortunately, the launch was always only a rumor. Whoever started the rumor must be very proud of themselves for fooling so many people (including ME!)

I have not ridden it yet, but really am looking forward to it. I don't care that it's the same track layout - I'm just glad that it'll be back!

Yeah I am a bit bummed about no launch. I kept on hoping it would be a big surprise but I guess not. I know they played with the "launch" area and the re-entry area to make it seem like your going faster, but a nice launch would have rocked!!!!

When you think about it, there are three lift hill in Space Mountain. If they have kept the layout exactly the same how could a launch work?

I loved the old as did we all so why mess with was great already. If they would have changed it then every one would have complained that they liked the old one so they just kept it the way it was perfect. By adding a launch the track lay ouy would of had to change, and I think would have me a bad dessision. Dont mess with perfection

I'm suprised this is news to you guys. They never claimed to be changing the track layout. Actually, they claimed not to be.

Instead of a Launch we got some REALLY cool new stuff in the lift hills

An LIM launch was more than just a rumor. There was real discussion about new ideas for the mountain. One of the most exciting ideas was to launch the ride from the People Mover platform toward the mountain a' la Paris. Of course, we didn't get the budget for changes to the ride system. Just effects.

I'm glad to see that Rock It Mountain made it off the drawing board. Gives the freedom for future changes and reprogramming like they do to Tower in Florida all the time.

well I hope the effects are good from what i read about the paris one the effects should rock. So i hope for the best but expect the worst so that way i will be suprised.

I think they were considering using the upper floor of the Starcade to put in a launch, but, as with all good things, it was cut to save money on the project.

youknow their's more to the launch then just the "launch"

remeber one of the lift hill effects is a big dissorienting launch segment on one of the lifts
