    Re: cinderella castle

then you may be needing to refer to Disney World forum for this question because the sleeping beauty castle is in Disneyland.

Sorry, hope that didn't come off as "rude". It seems the next post better explained this mistake one usually has regarding the assumption that Cinderella's Castle is in Disneyland.

Cinderella Castle is located in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland. Disneyland, Parc Disneyland at the Disneyland Resort Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland are home to Sleeping Beauty Castle. Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland feature the same small Bavarian castle and Parc Disneyland features a fanciful design.

Wikipedia actually has some good info and pictures.

There is no restaurant inside of Sleeping Beauty Castle. There used to be a walk through attraction that went up into the castle and featured dioramas from the 1959 animated film Sleeping Beauty. The walk through was closed in late 2001 after 9/11. It is also speculated that emergency access and/or hanicapped access played into closure of the attraction. However, the true reasons are disputed as either being logistics or budget cut.

Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom does feature an appartment and the restaurant. The appartment was originally designed to be for the Disney family, like Walt's Firehouse appartment or what is now the Disney Gallery in New Orleans Square at Disneyland. In the past this room was used for telephone operators and storage. The room is going to be renovated and an overnight stay will be given away as apart of the "Year of a Million Dreams" campaign. Disney has said though that the full logistics of this prize have not been fully developed.

WOW!! I thought that I was a WDW girl inside out.. But not after what I read!! I surely did not know any of this except for the part that Walt Disney created an apartment inside the cinderella castle for him and his family to stay at and to look over the park. Everything else was like a blur to me!! But it's nice to know that! ^_^
