I head today that CM's will not be allowed to give out any guest passes or let anyone into the park until after September due to the 50th celebration and concerns over park guest capacity. Can someone confirm this???

as it was last year, the main entrance pass (a.k.a. the CM sign-in pass) is blocked out from July 17 - late August. This is nothing new.-"We can see a new horizon...built on all that we have done..and our dreams begin another thousand circles 'round the sun!"

You wouldn't be able to anyways Melmel, you have to have worked at the resort for a while to get a main gate pass (I forget how long exactly) But I bet you will meet some other CM's who could sign them in for you, thats what I did to get my family in!Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

I think you have to be a CR-25 to get one as a perk.Check out the News Forum for the latest news with a Micechat twist!

Thanks for the refresherIts been a while- I just know I was a CT and I couldn't get one, no matter how long I had been there.

Green IDS- as General Shang said, for 'operating participants' is one of the terms also used.
Red/Pink IDS- CTs, For Seasonal Cast Members
Yellow IDs- For basically all other hourly cast members, by far the most common
Blue IDs- For salaried castmembers and management types
Blue with Diagonal Yellow Stripe- For Executives.
The coloring scheme is consistent through the company including workers at ABC and Imagineering and such. Their IDs carry their own logos and designs, but the color schemes are the same. Just FYI.The Next Big Disney Thing:starts Jan. 3rd

The main gate passes that basically all post-90day CMs have (possibly not the CTs, I'm sure someone out there knows) are blue. For those higher ups, there are the silver passes, you can guess which color those are. The Silver Pass can be given to someone else and also bestows upon them a 35% discount on all merchandise. And no, I don't have one.The Next Big Disney Thing:starts Jan. 3rd

CTs do not receive the blue Main Gate Passes. However, I believe that they are eligible for the two complimentary passes that are sent out twice a year (during summer and winter peak seasons, for a total of four complimentary passes). Although this may have changed, active CTs at DLR also get complimentary admission to WDW.
Silver Passes are given to management CMs (those folks with the blue cards and up) and their spouses, though to my understanding it is non-transferable otherwise (as in, only the Silver Passholder and his/her spouse are the only authorized users). "Operating Participant" managers are also given a Main Gate Pass, only I can't remember if it's just the blue or silver one.
And lemme tell you, if you ever get the chance to go to DLP and you're at least a CR (and perhaps with a Main Gate Pass), GO GO GO!! I was able to get myself and my best friend into both parks there for free, plus various merchandise discounts. It is such a fantastic perk.
