Life happens.....Being stuck at DL is not a "bad" thing!
Mom, remember, it's not what a person is like on the outside that counts,
it's what they are like in their HEART!

        YEAH! It was HORRIBLE!

I came in off the 5 at Katella and it took me an extra 45 minutes just to get to work. I went up Anaheim Blvd/Haster St. to Ball Rd., turned left on Ball, then turned left on Manchester, which is that little street by Mimi's Cafe, and took that into the Cast Member Parking Lot.

Thankfully, I left my house an hour early to start my shift an hour early, so I was still on time, but it sucks that I didn't get paid for that hour I spent in BS traffic.

I was just additionally annoyed because a scheduler called me at 2 pm to ask if I could come in early for my 5 pm shift; She could have mentioned the gas leak, I'd have taken an alternate route! Even just getting off at Harbor instead of Katella could have saved me a half hour!

I DO hope that managers will cut the CM's some slack in situations like this.

Lesson for the future; ask what the traffic is like? Of course, that CM may not have had the slightest clue what was happening on the street! I do understand your frustration, you lost an hour from your life you will never get back...

I was lucky. I normally approach the Katella Cast Member Lot from the west, and I wasn't affected by it.

It wasnt that really big of a deal, it took me an extra 5 minutes to get to work cause I just took haster down and around.
