Just wondering if anyone can tell me when eating at the Blue Bayou, can you reguest seating by the water? Do you need a reservation to eat there?
I have always wanted to eat at the Blue Bayou, and this trip we have decided to go for it.
    Thanks for the help.

Yes you SHOULD call ahead and make reservations before the day and you can request seating by the water, but it will probably take some additional time. Usually I go 15 - 20 minutes before my priority seating time and ask for waterside seating and takes me about 20 minutes, but this past summer, I once asked for waterside seating and was told that the wait would be an hour. So it all depends on the crowds.

We have never had to wait more than 5 minutes for our water seating the last 7 times.

Here's the secret... you have to call 60 days in advance which is the earliest you can make reservations. Call as soon as the DisneyDining number opens up in the morning (I think it's 7am PST, correct me if I'm wrong) and request the earliest lunch seating which is 11:30. Somehow, people have always called in before me and I end up with 11:40. Then on the day you are at the park and going to eat there... show up 5 minutes before your time and checkin with the hostess. Let her know that you want a table by the water. At that early of a
time there is no one in the restaurant yet and you are guaranteed a table by the water. You can always get one, if you're willing to wait. This way you don't have to wait and you get the restaurant when it is still very unbusy.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

It all depends on how busy they are..AND how big your party is.

Try to book your reservation for an early time, otherwise you'll have a VERY long wait.
